Just had a nearly perfect day, and it set me to wondering what your perfect day would consist of? Bet they'd be all different, huh?
By the way, mine started with a fresh fish lunch on a restaurant deck, temp about 75 and sunny, then a 2 mile hike and birdwatch beside a ship channel and ponds at the mouth of the Gulf of Mexico, followed by a barefoot surfwalk on the beach and a coffee frappe, all shared with hubby.
So what would yours be?

"That's a tough one. I would have to say April 25th. Because it's not too hot, not too cold, all you need is a light jacket."

It would have to include lining one over the third baseman's head into the left field corner to start a three-run rally in the bottom of the ninth. Maybe a glass of lemonade too.

Any day that I can squeeze 24 hours out of is perfect.

Mine would be a sunny day not too hot, kids happy and healthy, a good book to read, housework all caught up, and good friends to share the day with!

Temperature around 75 degrees with a breeze and sunshine, windows open, family and friends all healthy and no worries and everything going smooth.

My perfect day would start with an editor being unfair to Bigmama about a Kerplunk.

Any day that would end with a roaring fire and a beer. Or just having thrown dog poop on an editors front door would work as well.

(I hope everyone realized I was quoting that line from Miss Congeniality)

Just melt all this snow away. Monday here on the Mediterranean we got more than 18". Thought I'd left that in Chicago in 2002. (It snowed the day I left.)

Mine would be the first day to wake up with 20/20 vision in both eyes and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature.
I miss seeing the stars and constellations on a clear night. I definitely won't miss the halos at night and the blurriness.

Perhaps that day will be coming soon.

Every day my family is healthy and happy is perfect for me.

An even better day will be when I can look into the eyes of my family and see no more worry, instead see those eyes sparkle. I can't top that one!

Someone quoted the perf3ect baseball game as their day.

I nearly had that; the evening at any rate of fireworks day about a decade ago.

Mets down 8-1 in the eighth; the only reason we'd stayed was the fireworks; the mets score one on a ground out to make it 8-2 with two outs; load the bases...walk in four!! (At this point the crowd had been on their feet for fifteen minutes and had run out of voice, until
Alfonso gets a two run single, Piaazza a three run homer and we all go home happy --except for the Braves supporters, and the fact that it WAS the Braves made it better.
What do you say Smaug?

That rocks.

My perfect sports event was 1986 NFC Championship, Giants 17, Redskins 0.
