I have never done a website before, so I'm a little nervous to announce this, but it is here. Ta da! Several quiz takers wrote to me and expressed interest in knowing more about the Galapagos, and I told them I was working on a website. I pared down my 800+ pictures to about 25, and you can see them at:

Hope you like it! Alice

What a great job you have done on that website and as for the photos, are you a pro?

LOL - Thanks for the compliment. Definitely not a photographer! But when you have such photogenic subjects, and they don't move when you aim a camera at them, how can you miss? And when the two of us together took over 800 pictures, there had to be some good ones! Seriously, every picture looked like a postcard; it is a magnificent place to be. Glad you liked the website -

I totally agree that is a gorgeous website with beautiful photos! I want to go now, just to see the sea lions up close

Ya know, I thought about that, but I decided that I wanted to keep this one on target, and not terribly personal. Maybe the next one! And who knows...I've already made changes in this one since it went live. It could happen.

I gotta' check that out, Alice! Does anyone have an actual photo of a komodo dragon taken in their native habitat?

Thanks for the link details Alice. Amazing pictures. (I really enjoyed the slideshow). The landscape looks so stark, but dramatic. In the plants section, it first appears so wild, almost "moonscape", but then close-up photos reveal lovely colours of green and yellow which are so vivid against their backgrounds. I also loved the iguanas, very cute, and isn't it fascinating how they blend in with their habitat almost like military camouflage. (I can see what Darwin meant about "survival of the specis"!). I have added your Webside to my Favourites browser to view for later inclusions. Thanks Alice for letting us see these wonderful islands.

Alice- That was amazing...fantastic photos. I think my favorite is the blue-footed boobies. What a great trip.
