Wanted to start a thread on March Madness - the annual college basketball tournament. (I supposed there's other kinds of March madness...)

It's already started in a wild and wooly way. Murray St. over Vanderbilt. 15-foot shot at the buzzer. Wow.
13th seed beats 4th seed and it's only the second NCAA tournament win for Murray St. Double wow.

I don't know how it will end but right now Ohio U is beating Georgetown. Got my fingers crossed. Go OU!

How can my bracket be in trouble already?

It's already a strange tournament. When was the last time UCLA, Indiana, and North Carolina did not even make the field?

And to add to the strangeness, Syracuse (#2 seed) won by just 3 over their #15 seed opponent.

So many upsets already! All of my brackets are busted.

Time for my NEW MEXICO LOBOS to take the court! I hope they aren't bit by the upset bug.

If I'm counting right, so far 6 of the lower ranked teams have beaten higher ranked opponents, and the night ain't over yet.

Injuries ... not easily learned. Syracuse and Purdue may have trouble overcoming these. However, the Big East has been overrated for a while. The coach benching his starters at 'nova is a better's nightmare. I agree ... Our march madness is Europe's World cup. So, what are you going to do on June 12????

Saw this on a sign the other day. "I don't like to limit my madness to just March."

North Iowa's defeat of Kansas has officially sent my bracket into the dumpster.

Oops. In my previous post, I meant Villanova, but they're gone now anyway.

There've been sooo many upsets, I'd say almost everyone's bracket is in the dumpster. Anyone who has more than 12 of the Sweet 16 has done it on pure luck.

I'm not entered in any pools, so I'm happy with most upsets, as long as it isn't MY team.

Since everyone had Kansas going along way (in at least most pools), doesn't it make sense that Kansas's elimination really didn't hurt your bracket all that much? We're all denied the same amount of points. The losses that kill you are the picks that only you (and a perhaps a few others) made, not the picks that everyone made.
