REDSOX'S 1969 WP

A good year and a fun WP. Too bad Boston didn't win anything that year.

Did anyone ever see a movie with a name like frequency about revisiting 1969 and the World Series?
That was the closest I have got to that 1969 feeling.

Boston didn't win anything? Au contraire! That was Bill Russell's final year with the Celtics and he led them to their eleventh NBA title in 13 years, culminating in the famous Balloon Game in Los Angeles. You can look it up!

Great puzzle [factually and educationally]. Woodstock and Altamont concerts- musically quite a year.

But my Orioles and Colts lost that year to the Big Apple sports teams.
Not a great year sports wise.

Ken- I bow to your basketball acumen (although I did not look up the info you presented...you could have said Snerdy Wordy led the Celtics to the championship that year and I'd probably not doubt you). I was actually referring to Craig's "Redsox9" Sploofus name, and I hope I matched it properly with Boston.

Well, yes you did

And of course many people who cheer for one of those teams also cheer for the other. And the Bruins, and the Patriots ...
