THIS IS A REQUEST FOR HELP

In the pub last night someone challenged me to link the Beatles to any band they could name in the least number of moves. So it gave me an idea for a quiz and that is why I am asking for your help.
What I need is someone to suggest a random band or singer from any time in history ever and I will try and write a quiz that links the Beatles to them. (obviously for the quiz it would be with 10 steps).
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

i can do the alice cooper one in three but must admit i struggled for the midnight oil, but am just now writing the quiz linking them to the beatles in 10 moves.

This guitar player hung out with an collaborated with the Beatles, even playing guitar on a cut on the "White Album"...Eric Clapton

This well known producer did the mixing of Clapton's "Behind the Sun" LP...Nick Launay

Stan Kenton was a big band leader

Maynard Ferguson was the heart of Stan Kenton's big band in the 50s and 60s.

After leaving Kenton, Maynard Ferguson's big band used to play several rearranged pop and rock tunes, including "Hey, Jude".

You could probably find a couple ways from Beatles to Led Zeppelin...

I would salute you if you find more then just that John Paul Jones was on Paul McCartney's Give my Regards to Broad Street.

The one link I do see is Aleister Crowley and satanism. Jim Page's link to the occult and such is common knowledge. Lennon and McCartney is less known and not as solid.

Phitzy, please accept my apologies, I did promise it before but it completely slipped my mind. But it is on the way. The Alice Cooper one is next up and then the Stan Kenton one and I can assure you that it will be the Big Maybelle one after that.

By the way, I know it is only paying members who can post but if anyone out there reads this that is not a paying member but will still like to make a suggestion I suppose the only thing you can do is post a note to me privately after taking one of my quizzes. Here's what I've got for that one....

Eddie Van Halen played as a guest with Roger Waters on his European leg of the Radio Chaos tour. Eric Clapton played ON Roger Waters "Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking" Clapton to Beatle on above mentioned Bealte album.

Clapton is a link to MANY bands. As is Pink Floyd.
