I will miss many people who have left the Sploofus family but none more than Rowlanda. The last time we emailed we talked about the Sploofus family and things that were happening as well as her illness. Rowlanda and I shared childhood experiences and even talked about songs we sang as children being surprised that some were the same. She had such a long wait for a donor because of her heritage and feared the wait would be her undoing. We'll never know what would have happened if she had been able to receive the transplant earlier in her illness. She had a little saying on her profile to the effect of--when you are running out of rope then tie a knot and hold on. I wish that knot had held. I miss you my dear Rowlanda. In memory of Rowlanda I hope that this time of the year, whether it be the meaning of Easter for some or the fact that Spring has arrived and the renewal of the Earth is a hopeful time for everyone, will bring about a peaceful time for us all. A time for rethinking what is really important and how we can all be better human beings. Happy Easter, happy Spring Sploofus family.

I miss you Row.

I miss Row, too. I haven't had the heart to remove her name from my e-mail address book and so every day I think of her whenever I send e-mails and at other times, too.

Those who tell you that you can't have a real friendship over the Internet has just never experienced it. It may be a different kind of friendship, but it is real.

The others who have left Sploofus had a choice - she didn't. They can return - she can't.

In memory of a dear friend.

I also miss Monkeynipps she too had no choice about leaving. She was not her that long. Never knew her well. I never even knew she was ill until she posted that she had put herself into Hospice care. Her posts were always bright and often filled with humor-miss her being here

I miss her as well. She was always concerned with he well being of everyone especially her mom when she was hospitalized and away from home. Through other website she kept up with many others who were physically and mentally ill. A truly selfless person. Thanks for adding her to the post.

I was hoping to be able to tell her that I didn't experience Chemo Brain, after all.
I sure wish she was able to have an Autologous Transplant.
RIP Rowlanda

I didnt know her well, but I liked her sense of humor, she teased me once, about stealing her avatar, once, in a very funny and sweet way, it was hilarious!

I enjoyed Row's posts, but did not know her well. Alison was also someone I didn't know well, but she was a very funny lady. They'll both be missed.

She was full of vinegar until the end. It is a sad time for her friends ... Even sadder for her Mother. I miss her sense of humor, her warmth and her friendship. Her presence was a great boon to Sploofus and vice-versa.

Here's to Rowlanda, hoping she's in a better place. We will miss her dearly.

She will not be forgotten here on the island.
