BUMMED ABOUT EAGLES TRADE

I'm bummed about the Eagles trading McNabb to the Redskins. I really like McNabb, and I have been an avid Eagles fan since I was six years old, yet this trade has hit me worse than any other deal the Eagles have ever made. However, I know not everybody is an Eagles fan, so just bear with me, and understand that I am just venting here. I will continue to be an Eagles fan, but I will also continue to have great respect and regard for Donovan McNabb. In a way, I hope he takes the Redskins far this season, and show's the Eagles a mistake they may have made. On the other hand, I will also stand behind Kevin Kolb who has been announced as the starter for the Eagles, as I know the trade has nothing to do with him. Actually, I do understand it is only business, but I feel with McNabb having only one year left, it was kinda a sad thing to do. Anyway, life goes on, football goes on, and I still say...............GO EAGLES!!!!!!

The Redskin fans will support him more than during his career in Philly!
He has a few good years left to prove they made a mistake.

I am going to sound horrible saying this, but in a way if Kolb can't get the Eagles to the SB, then I hope McNabb takes the Redskins all the way and wins a ring this first year..........................I also think you're right about the fans being better at appreciating him. Still, he will will always be my fave QB no matter where he plays, he has the kind of quality that just makes you want to like him and respect him.

I couldn't figure why the Eagles would trade a quarterback of his quality to a conference rival. They said something about respecting his wishes because he wanted to go to Washington. That's crazy talk. The Redskins must have put more money on the line than any other team. It's always about money. I think it's going to bite them in the rear because he's got plenty of life left. I'm not a fan of either team but can't help but liking McNabb. I wish him well.

Being a Cowboys fan, I say that any quarterback that suffers through more than one season with Terrell Owens gets my respect.
I've always liked McNabb, even though the Eagles and Cowboys are rivals. I'm a little surprised that the Eagles traded him to a team in their same division. I thought they try to avoid trades like that. However, it does make for interesting games with the former quarterback plays his old team like Favre did in Minnesota.

I was upset when I heard it as well. He took us to 5 Division Championships in 6 years and was my favorite q-back of all time. I have not been impressed with Kolb so far, but will wait and see what he brings.

I'm a Giant's fan. A pox on both their houses.

That said, McNabb is aging and injury prone.

The eagles musth think that Kevin Kolb is the answer. They do have some quality players so one never knows. With the Redskins offensivel ine, do you really htink that McNabb is the fiffernce maker.

No matter what the sport is you dont trade/sell your best player to a rival team. I'd question the sanity of the eagles management team. Even if they get an elevated draft pick for the next year kids dont win championships unless you are Manchester United

Of course he is, Smaug. Danny Boy acquires nothing but has-beens and never-weres. For crying out loud, the Redskins signed Rex Grossman a month ago. Ask Kelly about that one.

I can understand the sadness among McNabb fans; the trade serves as proof that he has overthrown the shark.

Donovan has a device sewn into his butt that lets the Eagles know which play is coming. As far as his ability to outrun the rushers that run through the Redskins sieve of an Offensive Line, this is what he gets for suggesting that his contract was being negotiated on behalf of God. Whatever he asked for the Eagles to sign him in two years, must have really PO'd them.

The Redskins dragged their feet signing free agent Patrick Ramsey and trading him to the Bears, past the trading deadline. They were to get guard Mike Gandy for a first rounder + Patrick Ramsey.

There is no end to folks who know how to spend Dan Snyder 's money for head-lines rather than winners.
