LOWEST EVER

I just did my question of the day. It was a sports question, so I did get it wrong. Didn't feel too bad because it was answered correctly only 4.6% of the time. That has to be the lowest percentage I've ever seen.

Anyone seen anything lower than that?

I've never seen anything under 10 percent. (At least you're in the majority, Amy!)

Makes ya wonder who the 4.6 % were. Never had one that low Abby,
but have missed a few in the 6-8% range.

I saw a 1.8% once, I did nothing to improve it!

From a test-writer's perspective, anything that low signals
a bad question. One or more of the distractors is more
attractive than the correct answer. If it was just a matter
of only a few people knowing the correct answer, and
the rest were just guessing, the question should be
answered correctly about 20 percent of the time.

This from someone who is admittedly statistically challenged.

Foogs is right--a question that nobody knows the answer to should have a percentage of approximately 20%. I can see random luck pushing that percentage down by a few percentage points, but when you hit the single digits--something is wrong. I believe those are what experts in the business call "trick questions."

Forgive me, Abby, for calling you Amy. Just a boneheaded move on my part.

My guesses average higher than 4.6%
