OK, so I recently received some flowers (delivered to me at work) from "a Secret Admirer".

Now it's been 2 weeks and they have not yet revealed themself. I have to ask - what's the point of that??

I am curious to know if any of you have received, or sent, flowers from a secret admirer, and if so, how and when did you reveal/find out who the sender was???

Perhaps merely to make your day??

I've never done that, but if it was for romantic purposes it does seem a little odd to send them and then go no further!! (To me anyways).

If it was for romantic purposes, then the sender didn't think it out too well as it only resulted in your wondering. However, maybe you were having a bad day and someone noticed and wanted to brighten your day. If they achieved that, then no other action is needed on their part. It's sweet if you think of it that way.

I don't know whether it helps or not, but it was not me. I always sign the card added to the flowers, it is a matter of courtesy.

I did that once and almost got the girl 18 months later.

And then I did it again about two weeks ago.

I once received flowers simply signed "From someone that loves you" I called my mom and dad and told them about the surprise I found on my porch and wondered who could have sent them,, Dad began teasing and laughing with me about someone from my past that he correctly guessed I still cared about. (Dad really liked him too.) A few days later, my mother let me know that it was my dad that "loved me" and had sent that gorgeous basket of flowers. We chuckled about what a tease he was. However, much to my (and Dad's) surprise and delight, "Mr. Right" called a few months later! My dad past away before we married, but I knew he was happy we were together. Thanks for reminding me of a super sweet memory about my Dad who I loved so very much!

I have brought home flowers for my wife and she usually says,,,"What did I do to deserve this?"
And I say "Nothin' yet"
Quite often this will work.

Donden, one Valentine's day I was mad at my boygriend. So I send him a Valentine's card from a differnt post office so he would not know I sent it.

I signed it with a ? mark and put a mint flavored condom in the envelope. He never mentioned it; but I know he got it because I snoped.

Maybe the greeting card dropped somewhere during delivery, or the florist forgot to attach it to the bouquet ... and maybe the person who sent them to you is wondering why you haven't thanked him/her. I'd call the florist and ask who the thoughtful person was. Lucky you

I think I'd have to agree with wiseone on this. At least it may settle your nerves a bit one way or the other, if you could at least find out a name or something. Anyway, I'm thinking it was a nice 'surprise', and I hope it brightened your day.

I just realized, did you receive a card that said "Secret Admirer"? The florist might not tell you anything if you did.......still worth a shot though

Yes, there was an actual card that was signed "Love, A Secret Admirer". So it is still a mystery.

I thought calling the florist would be like cheating.

I recently saw that old Fred Astaire movie that takes place in Rio (?) where the father sends flowers to his daughter and plans to find the man for her later, but she thinks Fred sent them and falls for him against her father's wishes!

I am sure these are not from my dad, though.

Thanks for your stories and thoughts it has all made for some interesting speculation!
