JAW DROPPING!

This is a video of an act from 1944 - a sister act called the Ross Sisters.

I had never heard of them. The song they sing is about 45 seconds long (nothing special) but what they do next is...!

For some reason I couldn't watch that whole thing! I thought those moves might break them in two!

Odd that you should say that.......I couldn't watch the whole thing either. For whatever reason it really made me uncomfortable.

Those moves don't even seem humanly possible. It's almost as if the bones are fluid!

They could have made a fortune with Cirque du Soleil! Those are the sorts of moves I usually associate with Chinese acrobats. Interesting to see this version. Portions seemed a bit (unintentionally, I assume...) vulgar for a 1940s audience. Pretty amazing, though.

Those "moves" are called gymnastics. Started when I was 4 years old.

Maybe they kept up with the gymnastics for their lives. Maybe even taught gymnastics to all age groups. Call them the Sr. Sr. Sr. granny gymnasts! LOL

They probably have a bunch of trophies and medals, but maybe not a lot of pay for it, unless they taught private gymnastic lessons.(without that music) LOL

Yes, those were great contortionist moves. They could be the precursors for the the modern day Cirque de Soleil which i have immensely enjoyed.
