Oh, yeah!!!! Why I waited so long to switch to Firefox, I'll never know!!! I can't believe the difference between F/F and Internet Explorer. To quote a phrase, "I'd rather SWITCH than fight!" haha Now, if macromedia flash will quit crashing, I will be in 7th heaven!!!!! -roxi

Before I got my Mac, I loved Firefox. Tabbed browsing is the BEST! Enjoy it.

Love that crazy Firefox - used it with a PC, continue to use it with a Mac.

I'm on a Mac, and Firefox is the only browser I will use. Tabs are the best!

The only thing I hate is that it doesn't read pdf files very well.

Are you on the most recent version, Eesus? Only I use it and I don't have any problem with pdf files?

Yes, I'm using the most recent version. Most pdf files it tries to load and it just comes up with a blank page. I've even gone to the help menu and downloaded add ons for pdf's but it still doesn't work. If I have to open a pdf file, I just go back to internet explorer.

Lodi, uninstall your Adobe Acrobat .pdf reader and get Foxit .pdf reader.

A lot of the lag time is due to Adobe being way too bloated with "features" you'll never use. I switched to Foxit and .pdf files open almost as fast as a web page in Firefox for me now. Just click on the "open pdf" button and it pops right up.

I switched to Firefox when Justin was suggesting it, and I love everything about it. I have just had one problem. My sister, who lives in another state, sends me ecards. Since I'm on Firefox, the ecard sites want to freeze up, and also the music which is supposed to play, seems broken up and comes and goes.

I was wondering if you had a suggestion for this. Thanks!

Sorry Marilyn, can't help you there. E-cards are something that I don't look at. Sometimes I have to open IE and view something when it doesn't work right in Firefox. That would probably qualify as one of those things.

If you don't have it already, here's a handy little extension that adds an option in your right click menu to view a page in IE without having to copy and paste the addy in an IE window.

Thanks, Rob! I appreciate your response. I'll try that.

Thanks again,

No can do! I used Adobe, the full version to create files. I need more than just a reader for pdf documents.

Wish i could agree ,FireFox freezes me colder than brass bolts on a bridge.

I still have that ecard problem, to an extent. My ecard sites work, just don't always play the music and sounds.

I too have the IE add-on. Comes in handy.

I mainly use Firefox for the increased security against spyware and such. IE was so loading me down with trojans, downloaders, and all that other spyware stuff.

And the tabbed browsing has become a great thing for me too!
