EITHER/OR....VOTE NOW

Ok...since I am helplessly slipping down the leaderboards into the Sploofus abyss due to some @#^%@#^!@^#%@ QOTD questions...the way I see it I have one of two choices:

1) Attempt to become the 1st person ever to go from #79 to dead last. Based on my recent performance, not too lofty of a goal. Might be fun too...could challenge people I know will kick my butt...opt out of the category I do best in...

2) Convince Sploof to install a "Donate Points to the Whiner" button. Everyone who gets really tired of my incessant whining about losing 4 million points could just donate points to shut me up (Kaufman's idea)...think it's worth looking into...just ask those who have listened to me for the past 5 days. Lord knows the top 10 could fork out the 4 million without batting an eyelash and just think...no more whining from Kelly...well worth the price (darn near a steal).

Let me know....

Let's see ... if each of the 14,090 Sploofus members were to donate only 284 Sploofus points, we could come up with 4 million points pretty quickly.

Of course, that might encourage more whining by everybody, which I don't think I can take.

So, my vote, sadly, is to see how quickly you can sink to last place with risky challenges and slow word rounds.

And, then we can see how quickly you bounce back up to the top!

I don't think people who have ever been in the 70's should throw stones at their glass houses, when the rest of us are WAAAAAYYYYY below you!

Look at it this way - in the 70's you are still in the Top 5%! That's good enough for a scholarship for most high schoolers!

Top 5%. That has a nice ring.

Still, it's a groaner to lose 4 million points. I'll give Chickie my 284 points just out of commisseration.

Suzer, methinks you left out a decimal place. #70 of 14,000 would be the top one-half a percent. Still in the top 5 percent....

Oh, and could you tell my company how to calculate my salary? But please, don't do my taxes....

Just to clarify....not whining about my #....just losing the points...

So either give em up ...or watch me slide...we could always take bets on how long it will take me to get to zero.

Chick:

I vote yes!

I think we should be able to donate points! I have written my Congressman and asked him to implement a deduction in the tax code. Am anxiously awaiting the introduction of his bill...

How to gain back 4 million points in a hurry? You can always try a variation of the Nigerian Letter. Explain to people that you need help in transferring 3.5 billion points, and if they help you to do so, they can keep a tenth of it. All they have to do is give you their passwords ...

You got a problem?
I just lost 233 million on a miscategorised wager!
Now that IS going to cost you lot if you want to donate!
But I'm proud - or was.
No charity points will be accepted, please.

Forget it, girlfriend. If we get points for whining that one's mine hands down.

Does it make you feel any better to point out that I am at the top of the Biggest Loser board after losing 1,592,284,555 points yesterday on a wager in my best category? Just remember there is always someone worse off than you.

Oh, Beth I'm sooo sorry. You poor thing. That's terrible why would that happen to such a sweet person? You should complain!!
Oh..and watch your back tootsie, I'm almost right behind you.

Oh Beth!!! And you can still type?? I would either have slit my throat or still be banging on the floor with my head. I've been moaning over 1,000,000 points I lost in a trivia wager for a couple of weeks now. I will promptly shut up.

I should have said too,Beth, I'll probably catch you in a year or so if I ever get a Question of the day I can answer. I think I've missed 5 in a row or something. Who makes these things up? 12 year old Hollywood scriptwriters who play in obscure heavy metal bands while following the rugby and wrestling teams around?

Missashlee - thanks for fixing my math - I knew it sounded wrong but it was late last night when I typed that (and I DO help people with their taxes!!). Top .5% THAT'S AMAZING! Which means I'm in the Top 1%!! WOW. I feel way better about my day already!

So Chick (and Beth, and all of you)...get your head off the points and keep an eye on your placement! Even if Beth lost a billion, she's still in the billionaires club, which only has 13 members! That puts her in the Top .0923267% (I used a calculator this time).

It's all in how you look at it

Thanks for all the sympathy. I agree with you, Suzer. It's all in how you look at it. Sure you might feel bad for me losing so many points and being the Biggest Loser, but when you realize I only fell from 4th to 6th place it doesn't sound so bad does it?

Plus I still have another wager token stored away. I won't complain too much either. Since I always wait for my best category (Vocabulary), I almost always win. And it's been a while since I had a loss so I should be good to go for at least a little while.

I would gladly donate some of my points to ya!

Let's see, I'd donate the 4 mil plus an extra 300,000 for being a nice person, and that will get you into top 100.

Hey Kelly I'll race ya. You see how fast you can get to the bottom of the TQOD leaderboard and I will see how fast I can get back down to zero points. LMAO I keep loosing wagers and showdowns....all those hard earned points doing WR, MP, WM's just keep going down the tube....lost a little over a million on my last wager. Makes me wanna cry.

I would be willing to donate some points to you Chick.

However, there is no such thing as a free lunch.

Would you be willing to permanently retire your flyswatter?
