I have to say I was pretty much unaware of a large number of my phrases; either the culture gap across the Atlantic or just I'm the wrong vintage.
Fortunately help was at hand... and the inform ation here was very stimulating.
Thanks Vicky!

I remembered most of them. Wish I'd remembered to check my spelling

I remember watching only one commercial of my five puzzles, but I knew two other catchphrases/ads from their position in pop culture. I was clueless about the other two, although the products were certainly familiar, and one had a famous later-era ad campaign.

Fun. Seen all five and remembered four of them well! All of mine were catch phrases as well as ads, and have come into the language. Surely you remember Mikey, he hates everything. Wait. Mikey! He likes it!
But then again I've been tuned into pop culture for all my xxxx years.

Mikey is, indeed, the one I grew up with. But I was unfamiliar with Ajax's white knight or Bob Hope's Pepsodent radio show. Both predate me.

I'm not complaining, of course. I know plenty about the movies of the forties and fifties (except for yesterday's *Redheads from Seattle*); just not too much about the commercials of the same time. Although I do know the "Plop, Plop, Fizz, Fizz" catchphrase was written by actress Julianna Margulies's dad.

Great puzzle. I remembered most of my set of five. Certainly brought back pleasant memories from my youth [ except for the white knight ad }

Another good trip down memory lane. Although I think one may have predated me

Thanks everyone...I'm glad you liked the puzzle. The Bob Hope one predated me but I remember my mom talking about listening to him on the radio when she was a teenager. The others i remember fairly well...(but then I am only a mere youth of 21) my dreams maybe!
