How exactly do you go about bailing on a puzzle when you can't solve it?

Well, that was a waste of time--who edited that one?

Thanks for the confirmation, Edgy --- I was beginning to think it was just me.
Do I need to log off Sploofus to abandon my unfinished effort?

Made me realize how 'wasteful' I've been! I drink far too much water from those nasty plastic bottles, and this puzzle is making me take another look at that! Thank you

I'm not sure if the earlier posters were indicating a structural problem with the puzzle. But at 10 am EST the puzzle was working fine; informative and thought provoking.

Had to have mine reset as I found a mistake in one...otherwise after the reset it was fine.

Fine by me as well, good puzzle.

I actually did better on it than I do some of the others and enjoyed it.

Apparently one puzzle had a small (but, yes, frustrating) problem.

If you've never had to deal with this before, submit a support ticket by clicking on the "help" link at the top of the page and asking for a reset.

Thanks to whoever wrote this. I picked up some good information.

I thought it was very well put together and had some really fascinating (and important) information.

Thanks to the editors for a quick reset

I took this puzzle at 8:00am sharp, as I normally do and found no problems with it. I must have not gotten the one you are referring to. I liked this puzzle.

No problems here......other than my usual ineptness......3...count them 3 red screens because I didn't proofread before hitting enter......stupid on my part. Alas......
The puzzle certainly made me happy that I am an avid fan of recycling. We save EVERYTHING. Ben even takes hangers back to the cleaners. I will shut up now though lest I give something away,

It really was an interesting and fun puzzle once I got the reset and was able to proceed. Thanks!

Puzzle was fine. My performance, however, was garbage, and for the record, it will take several weeks till my brain breaks its emotional baggage into harmless components.

I agree - it was a very fun and thought-provoking puzzle. I didn't have any problem, but then I took it late and it looks like whatever occurred before was fixed.

I also was a little better than my average; would have been better if I ever learned how to type

Kaufmann - take your emotional baggage to the airport and they will lose it for you!
That is, of course, after charging you 30 bucks.

Good WP and fun .

Well, I guess there are advantages to taking puzzles towards the end of the 12 hours.

BTW how many lost bags does $30 buy?

Loved this puzzle, and did ok by my standards. I did it relatively early...must not have gotten the bad one.

If anyone is still wondering what the fuss is about, one of the puzzles had a number (50) instead of the word "fifty." Pretty easy thing to fix, once found, but impossible to solve, since your only choices are letters of the alphabet.

I'm thankful now that numbers have to be spelled out, since I don't need 10 extra chances to be wrong.

Sorry! I meant "ten."

That is a nice thing. And numbers are rounded to fifty somewhat more than forty or sixty. On the other hand, I still cringe at middle initials ... 25 out of 26 chances to go wrong.

Very informative and educational. Wow- some surprising facts.
We do generate a lot of waste as a society.
