Fun puzzle proving the superiority of cats over dogs.

other than my usual in/on confusions I had nothing to grumble at (thinks: must work harder)

Really, Barry? I thought these puzzles proved the superiority of dogs over cats.

*sigh* Sitting in fifth place waiting for Anne -- and possibly others -- to bump me down.

"An early memory" involved something I've never heard of. Just me?

Me too. Never heard that term. So I finished sitting eighth instead of likely top 5, now down to ninth, with no doubt I'll be thrust into loserdom in this last hour. Congrats to those who managed to see five other puzzles

Daveguth is, of course, correct.

Dogs rule, cats drool!!

Oh wait...

Well, dogs have other strong points

Me too on that early memory puzzle. Ran through a whole bunch of letters, and even when I finally figured it out, I took a couple of "safety letters" because it just didn't seem right.

I used to get grouchy about puzzles like that because half of the folks taking that WP were lucky enough to not draw that puzzle. But I've come to realize that, over time, odds are that I'll be one of the lucky ones spared the misery.

Loved it but didn't get the early memory and burned a ton of letters.

And remember:

Dogs have Masters
Cats have Staff

after it's over, could someone tell me about the early memory one...I didn't get that one, and it sounds interesting.

I loved it also. And timing was purrfect - today was the day our two cats had their annual vet checkup and 3-year shots.

Always before they've been pretty good at the vet - but not this time. Both were really uptight about it, hissing and spitting at each other and anyone else around.

Can't remember the "early memory" one exactly, but it was something like "Playing monsters with the other kittens in our litter." Never heard of the reference to cats "playing monsters." Heck, all sorts of possibilities went through my mind before I got it, e.g., "clawing hamsters."
