Well done Mistyizz...we dont often see level one players crack the top 10...AND challenge Virtus for longest time taken!

Has anyone beaten the 10,000 second barrier yet?
Does the system close down on you if you leave the game for a mid-session emergency?

Well done! Great puzzle--though challenging.

The last one was the easiest and my favorite by far (which may not be unrelated...).

Thanks for a fun puzzle, Barry! Swifties are among my favorites, though you'd never tell by my score.

Whew! That was a workout. I guess you are delaying the onset of Alzheimer's.

A little bit harder than the usual Tom Swifties, but that was to be expected from Barry!!

I enjoyed it . Thanks.

Ditto was Diane said.

Now Barry, are you making fun of me?? If I remember correctly, the tortoise won the race with that hare.

In my case I am just racing against early senility by exercising my brain. So far I haven't reached 10,000, but maybe some day. FYI the computer doesn't turn off if you just stare at it for a long time or get carried away reading interesting stuff on wiki. I sent a note to our newest competitor and hope she joins us on a regular basis.

Thank you, Barry.

My punny hubby even groaned over some of these. Extremely clever, Barry. One of your best efforts.

I love these and had to pick today to drive 150 miles each way to have our cars serviced. Without my laptop. Left home at 7:50 am, returned at 8:15 pm. Dang.

And to answer an earlier question, the computer doesn't rest when you're interrupted for a while in the middle of a puzzle. Or at least it didn't when I had to take a ten-minute phone call once.

If only Tom had "pondered" instead of "wondered," Leslie said pink-screenedly.

Not pedantically?

That Tom is one swift guy. Well done Barry. Really clever stuff.

Yes, I wondered why Tom hadn't pondered.

Oops. My bad pondered/wondered was nasty..
As the author you never get to think about things like that of course.
