Well done Marsha; loved it!

Guessed one piece of info wrong to waste four guesses...the noise you hear is me kicking myself (or daveguth as appropriate). No one to blame but myself. Rats!!

Great trivia. I was doing fine until the third one - then wasted a bunch of letters on one word. And once I got it, I couldn't type straight

Trivial yes - useless - no way - never know when of those might show up in a TQOD.
It was fun, too

Lots of fun, Marsha. I can't wait for an opportunity to share this knowledge.

This was fun and I'm sure I'll have the opportunity to insert some of this information into a conversation some time. If the opportunity doesn't come up on its own, I'll be sure to steer the conversation that way!

Great job 1mks.

BTW, I see Lavazza is a new member, has authored several quizzes and made several posts to the forums in less than a month. It's nice to have new voices on Salty Dog. Same goes for Jerrys, who is at level 63 so has been around a while but has only fairly recently been posting on SD..

Ever so amusing and even more useless than the last set.

And as usual I did not know that!!!

Did anyone else get caught by the fact that Cleopatra married not one but TWO of her brothers. I tried it without a letter...pride goeth before a fall and a haughty spirit before destruction.

Enjoyed it very much. I thought the random nature of the phrases was great.

I didn't get the Cleopatra clue, but I did get the one about Barbie's full name. The answer on the puzzle was "Rogers," but the name on the official Mattel Barbie site (yes, there is one!) is "Roberts." There seems to be all sorts of confusion about it online, but I would think Mattel gets the final word

Can someone please explain to me why my post to this thread was cut? I'm completely at a loss why that would happen.

I'm wondering what happened too, Dave. I read your post and didn't see anything in there but information that any member could see by clicking on the Community bar or reading this thread. There wasn't any vulgar language in your post, you didn't call anyone a name nor did you "do something" to a member, seems to me it was the other way around. What merits deletion? Just asking........

Thanks, Cindy. This is very mysterious.

Asor, it appears you must have taken the puzzle very early. I ran into the Barbie error right away when I took the puzzle (about an hour after it started) and got completely messed up. So I bailed and sent in a Support Ticket. They acknowledged the error, said they would fix it, and let me have a reset. It's unfortunate you had to deal with it. Next time, do what I did, and let the editors know there's an error. They'll give you a reset.

I got the same Rogers v. Roberts puzzle.
