You never cease to amaze me. I actually enjoyed the puzzle.....even the 2 red screens I got didn't bother me....I just kept saying to myself......."self, Barry lives in a different world than I do" and I actually laughed. I will never understand your mind and that is okay......I had fun and after my made me smile so I thank you for that. I expect an explanation later. LOL

Oh this was the weirdest yet. Words morphed on the page, I swear. And please tell us after.

I'm lucky to be acquainted with Don, but he's especially tight with one of my best friends.

Ya know, Vickie, some days one might prefer a puzzle about Elvis movies.

I didn't get it, but I googled it later and it's Don Quixote.

Since Don is a title and not a name, it might have been helpful if the title had been "10 Things About A Don" or "10 Things About Don Q".

But c'est la vie! It was very clever!

You, Miss Theater, didn't get it!

I got it during my second phrase but still was less than brilliant with my third about his childhood.

Hey, Barry likes mystery persons and places.

We could not fit Don Quixote into the title. (DQ was a possibility)
We thought since all the phrases were quotations from Cervantes, that giving you the full story would make it just a little too easy.
As it was a few of the quotes were better known than others, but even so I believe a fast Googler might have spotted them.

Most of the way through, I guessed it might be Don Quixote. The "braying" in one of the phrases made the a light bulb come on.
If the title was "10 Things About DQ"
- I would have gotten an ice cream cone at Dairy Queen first.

Oh I had trouble with the word "braying" and STILL didn't get it. Guess I never thought of him as "Don", like you don't think of Prince Charles as "Chuck"!

I survived this one, but thought it was a bit too tough for those that weren't particularly familiar with Don Quixote, or at least adept at Googling.

I was also mystfied by the title until I recognized the quote in my first puzzle. Until then, I wondered if the Don in the title could also be Don Juan, Don Corleone, or Don Attelo.

Dave, your list reminded me of when I worked for a magazine years ago. We asked a freelancer to put together a list of all the people we had named in the first issue so we could send them a complimentary copy.

Among the names he produced:

Ann Arbor

Arch Diocese

At least we knew where to reach Ann

Not a good one. I'd be expecting:
(A dislike) Drunks coming in and ordering a Big Mac.
(A perfect moment) Signing the Dennis the Menace ad deal
(If I won $1,000,000) Ten cent hamburger month
