Sorry to interrupt all our bee-actching but I just have to brag. My autistic son, Jayce got 3 bursaries tonight at his graduation. He is the first special needs child to graduate on the regular academic program at his school & I'm proud as punch. 2 of the 3 were the same as I received when I graduated from there 40 years ago, almost to the day (thought I'd beat you to the punch line, that he must of gotten his brains from his dad). OK, sentimental mush now over, resume carping

That's really sweet, Randy, and most gratifying, I'm sure.

Heartiest congratulations!

Do you pronounce that Jay-se or Jay-cee?

Anyway, congratulations to you and your family!

Hugs to you both, what wonderful and hopeful news. I have two little cousins, one on my paternal side of the family and the other on the maternal side, both almost 10 and so far no words but everyone will keep plodding along until we find some common ground. Things are better than they were five years ago so no complaining. I'm so proud for you and Jaycee.

That is really great news and does a lot for his self-esteem. I don't blame you it's something to brag about. Congratulations.

What was sloppy about it?

Congrats. I like good news.

Be very proud, Mom. That's quite an accomplishment. Those of us who are not handicapped in any way can't really imagine how hard it must be for someone like Jayce to overcome.

This thread is almost a year old. Dunno why they keep bobbing back up.

Hope Jayce is still doing well.
