Wow! I just got up! Can anyone tell me how badly the Yankees beat the Tigers yesterday?

Nope, can't tell you a thing about that. But I know the $200 million dollar team is on winter vacation, and everyone in Detroit was having a great time. I finally crawled my rear-end into bed something like 4:45 AM today. About the same time I'll get up for work tomorrow.

News report say Torres is out and Lou Pinella is going to take the helm. You know A-Rod is on the A-train out of town.

I am still celebrating my Tigers win over the most mediocre team that money can buy. If Boy George decides to get rid of A-Rod I would like to see him wearing the old english D and the "Escape from New York" would return him to greatness. Playing for Jim Leyland and the "Pizza King" would be a breath of fresh air for him. As far as Piniella goes, his hot temper and Georgies stupidity would mean a short stay. Right now I am going to have another Molson's and gloat.

Felix: Even if the Yankees had won it all, that would have been the lineup next year. George is a Class A meddler. He didn't even leave the '98 team intact.

As for Torre, firing him would be the biggest mistake the team could make. They're a .500 team next year without him. He'll have offers within a week.

If we MUST discuss sports...can we PLEASE not discuss baseball. Sox fan....and I've been in a drunken stupor for a couple weeks now.

Oh...and Cubs fan...that should tell you how unimaginably I am disgusted with baseball.

DA BEARS...give a chick a hope please....dear lord???

It's the curse of the A-Rod!

And Chick - this Sox fans (even though I'm a Red one) completely agrees with you!

Actually, it's the curse of Clemens.

If the team had lived up to the class and dignity it was supposed to, and sat him down and made sure he never threw another pitch for them after throwing the bat at Piazza, I believe they'd be looking at at least three more World Series titles right now.

I blame it all on these indepedent agents, of which Clemens was one of the 1st. My mom was born in 1918, so I'm glad the RED SOX won while she was still alive!!! Teresa

Funny you say that, my father passed away last November 12,...less than 3 weeks after getting to see his beloved White Sox win it all for the first time in his 70 year life.
