Does Slicko need to ever cash in a CD to purchase all those CD's?
A great word puzzle to solve and do some research.

Good one! Just wish I could spell. Yeah, that's right 2000 seconds and I still forget to check my spelling.

Yep, great puzzle. 4 pink screens and a word I couldn't figure out killed my score. But at least I got some new sites to look at.

Really enjoyed this but have no clue where you find the time for all your music, Sploofus and being a Dr. Wow!

Thanks everyone - long before Sploofus became an obsession music collecting was -
I am still into CDs - really don't like the sound of MP3s despite the obvious convenience and space advantages - 14,000 CDs takes up a lot of bookshelves.
So here's the whole WP (and a little extra about most of them):

Berkshirerecordoutlet.com
This is where I go to buy discontinued jazz and classical music
(It is not unusual for classical and jazz CDs to only be released for a few months and then they disappear - but this site is a great resource for music that has been pulled from the catalogues)

Arkivmusic.com
I get deliveries weekly from my favorite classical music site
(It is the best site by far - and these days our UPS man recognizes the packages!)

Amazon.com
I go to this site for imports and hard to find music (self-explanatory)

Tower.com
I took a trip to NYC for the bricks and mortar going out of business sale
(The website just isn't the same as going to the stores - made a final pilgrimage a few years back and bought 300 CDs all - 50 to 90% off - Greenwich Village, Trump Tower and Lincoln Center on that trip)

Virgin.com
I preferred the Times Square store instead but it is gone now
(Another great store that has disappeared)

Barnesandnoble.com
I enjoy the coupons and using my discount card
(Regular prices are kinda high but who can resist a bargain?!)

Naxos.com
I own over one thousand CDs from this classical music label
(Terrific web site - great music label - the best bargain classical music ever - they have recorded almost everything - usually with no name orchestras that play as well as many big names - great sound, great price)

Classicalcdguide.com
You cannot go wrong with any of their top twenty recommendations
(A nice site, especially if you are just starting to listen to classical music)

BBCMusicmagazine.com
I listen to samples of CDs that are reviewed in my subscription
(I've subscribed to this magazine since its inception - excellent reviews of new recordings - then I go to the site to sample before I buy)

Americanrecordguide.com
The section on collectors describes me to a tee
(The finest classical review magazine/journal of all - the web site is limited but has some fun reading)

Can't wait for more WPs in this series - hope my favorites list can manage the additions.

Thanks for the detailed list. Enjoyed a peek at classicalcdguide, no problems with their choices but found their recording choices a bit weird. Or am I just out of date?
