Loved your Wordpuzzle, Craig. I can't believe I made it in 23 moves, but somehow it just came together. Thanks!

I didn't do well at all but that did not keep me from really enjoying it. Nicely done. Thanks a bunch.

Enjoyed it--very clever, though I'll have a very small whine about one of them after the game is over.

I certainly enjoyed it and only realized afterwards I was going about solving it from back to front.
That did not affect my satisfaction in solving (also in about 23!)

Great clues, except perhaps "Rescued from a mountain" for "Eva Marie Saint Paul Minnesota." Though North by Northwest is one of my favorite movies, I didn't figure out that clue until after the game was over.

Also, the format on that one seemed a little different. "Paul" kind of stood by itself--as opposed to the more straighforward answers in the others, e.g., Dusty Springfield Illinois.

But these our minor whines--I only mention them because potential 5-move WP's should try to avoid having one puzzle that's trickier than the others.

I had Little Rock, Arkansas, on one of mine, so Saint Paul wasn't the only two-word city.

It helped to have a list of U.S. state capitals in front of me as I was counting letters on this one.

Thanks for a really fun puzzle!

First "NUMBER ONE" finish for me in a LONG time! Hmmmm...maybe EVER!

Congrats, John. If I remember right, you were among a small handful that finished with a Magic 5. (Wasn't it Clevercloggs that used to insist that was impossible?) But your great time earned you the top spot. Nice one!

"Eva Marie Saint Paul Minnesota" was my first puzzle, and I'm still patting myself on the back for getting it with no letters before I was even sure about the format of the WP. I worked backwards to "Saint" from the state, and once I had decided it was Eva Marie Saint, I realized from the clue that I was on the right track. I think an actual bulb lit above my head.

Maybe *On the Waterfront* would have been a better clue for her? "She coulda dated a contender"? Hmmm. That's not very good.
