Wow - the preceding "Get Smart" and "Get Smarter" WPs proved prescient - I had to awaken millions of long-dormant brain cells just to battle through Eminent Victorians. I feel eminently smarter for having done so.

A good, clean and very challenging puzzle. Kudos!

Well put Dasfunk. My sentiments exactly. Incredible puzzle that opened up several new vistas to me

I certainly found it difficult but I also learned a bunch so that was a definite positive. Thanks a bunch. I did enjoy it.

I wasnt sure whether the puzzle was going to reveal the Lytton Strachey tie-in or not (I only discovered that name being mentioned in my fourth clue) but I admire someone who could put together a puzzle on such an imaginative theme.

Two of my puzzles were specifically about Strachey, and another one (about Florence Nighingale) mentioned him by name. So, yeah, familiarity with his book and/or him was useful.

Tough, but enjoyable WP.

I really enjoyed this word puzzle. Well-crafted with such interesting information, it made me want to rush to the library! Thanks for a lot of fun!
