Looks like I can't have lunch, even though the clock says it's time.

Excellent puzzle! Fortunately, none of the answers were too "hard to find."

Barf.

I'm a modern cuisine guy with several extra pounds nonetheless.

OK. Call me a food snob.

And wine snob too.

I have good taste. My first wife gave it to me, God bless her.

Okay, so now that's it over, how come of one of the puzzles was an exhortation to "Try the stuffed hotcakes at Bob Evans", when the four other puzzles were simply a description of the item and where it could be purchased (i.e.: "Chocolate Tower Truffle Cake at Cheesecake Factory")?

I was kicking myself for having wasted letters on the word "try", but I was looking at "T__ t__.....", and working from the format, assumed the first "T" was "The". After eliminating the possibility that there "Two" stuffed hotcakes ("The Two Stuffed...."), I was quite stumped by that second T.

Since no one else commented on this puzzle, I guess I'm the only one who was stymied by it.

Dasfunk, I didn't get that puzzle (thankfully), but I agree that's pretty bad. If there are several wording formats going on, that's one thing. But four puzzles without a verb certainly suggests that the 5th won't have one either. (None of my five puzzles had a verb.) So if you're unlucky to get that oddball puzzle, it's very likely you'll waste a lot of letters trying to think of a non-verb to fill in that one word.

This is where I often say: WP authors, please be aware how frustrating little wording oddities like this can be. That said, it's also where I'm generally ignored. Just like at home and work!

The one that amused me was the cheeseburger and large fries at Five Guys having sixteen bazillion calories. Here's the deal. If you order a regular (small) fries there, it's giant-sized, and they make sure you get your money's worth by pouring another few hundred fries into your bag. The result is more than enough for three healthy adults. So who in their right mind would order the large fries at Five Guys, unless they're the Green Bay Packers (all of them) or something?

Dasfunk, I had two with verbs. Hey, the author has to shake things up a little bit. After all you could find many of these online at one site. T _ _ T _ _ is "try the," obviously.

Dave:

I knew there were a couple I forgot to obsess over.

And after all of that, the answer was so 'obvious'.

:roperly chastised:::
