MONEY DOWN THE DRAIN WP

This is one of my favorite types of puzzles. Too bad many of them are so true, and we still don't learn.

I agree. I was especially nodding my head and saying me too on one of the WPs.

I get a puzzle like that two days before I head for the casino. Figures.

Enjoyed the puzzle in part because it showed I'm not the only one who does these things.
Thanks!

Enjoyed it, Pat!

I fouled up on the one about loaning your credit card to a coworker so she could rent a car to Texas. I saw _e_a_ at the end of the sentence and thought it was "Vegas"! You sure it wasn't Vegas?

I guess that's my west coast bias!

Lots of fun - but you forgot the most expensive one at all - "Got married"!

Thanks everyone. I had a message from one player who said he hoped all of these weren't from personal experience. Sadly, they are, every one of them.

I'm sure one of the five puzzles I didn't get was about putting money in the stock market. Never fails for me.

Indeed it was Kaufman. A small amount, but I debated between two investments to place my money. Stock price was about the same for both.

I chose to invest in an organization that puts on cheer-leading camps for high school students. I figured there would always be parents shelling out money for that kind of thing. It wasn't long after that the company dropped off the stock market and I lost most of my investment.

My other choice that I discarded? Applebees. (sigh)

Sigh indeed. Had you put your money there, there'd be one fewer cookie-cutter chain restaurant around today. Or maybe we'd have the same number, but it would be Bennigan's that was still around.

There' an idea. I really ought to put a few bucks into companies I find repugnant
