Good, fun puzzle but...I will have a further post when it's over!

Fantastic puzzle - loved it. Took me 5 letters to get the first one - once I figured out the pattern, I got the other 4 with no letters. First time I've ever done that well!

I was excited when I got 2 with no letters. Fun and clever!

I got them all with no letters, but a stupid typo took me from what would have been a high score to one that will probably not be in the top 10...or 20...or 30...sigh...

Really nice puzzle - great combos - one of my (many) annoying habits is being able to recite all of the best pictures in order by year from Wings to Hurt Locker so this puzzle was particularly fun.

Fun puzzle and well done.

Wish I could say I got some with no letters. Don't think that will ever happen.

Got tied up with Ford in 'the quiet man' -- same word lengths as 'how green was'..... and had to waste a letter; but my slow time meant I'd have been out of the top ten anyway.

It's always nice to have variety and to have some WPs that take a little less work, but I kind of wish this one was tougher. The race for the top spots becomes a track meet, and very small factors determine where you finish, e.g., your spouse or kid comes in the room to ask you a question.

Actually, my only real problem was it took awhile to sink through my thick head that Segal isn't necessarily George Segal--it could also be Eric Segal (Shakespeare in Love Story). Helped me finish in the delightful #6 spot on the board. But I got what I deserved. I just thought it was a little odd that there were several folks who finished in 5 moves, but weren't even in the top 10.

But, yeah, I know--an occasional different mix in the WPs is a healthy thing.

Well dave for what its worth I thought it was a fair challenge and I enjoyed it.
my view is that it was a LOT more fun than the website puzzles which really need to be more spaced out in my opinion.

Dave, that's the one I got with no letters, while the others found me coming up short on the title match on one side or the other. Different strokes

You're welcome.

My further comment is that an established pattern should be continued throughout the word puzzle. I had four phrases that represented a particular "order" (got those with four moves!) but the fifth phrase used a totally different pattern.

Once again, other than that, excellent puzzle!
