Obviously, this quiz was meant to commemorate my birthday, which was just this past Friday. It can't be coincidence that a puzzle celebrating 1960 falls soon after my "50 Years Ago".

Admit it, Red Sox 9 - or I'll tell everyone you're not really Ted Williams.

Thanks for the challenge - 1960 was a fine year ;-D

Agree - great puzzles and clever clues. Even though I was only 3, one event in particular stands out from this puzzle - those were the days.

Oh what fun! Just in time for my husband's 50th high school reunion...but terrible when I realized I remembered most of this! Now if I could just spell....

At my age- all of them stood out. Great trivia and memories from the past.

While these looks back are always interesting, I think a couple of the puzzles were so stuffed with information that they lacked clarity. I used at least a third of my letters solving "Comings": Sammy married May; *Andy Griffith* debuted; and JFK Jr. and Cal Ripken Jr. were born. Leaving out Sammy Davis Jr.'s marriage would at least have made room for the word "show" so I, and clueless beings like me, wouldn't be trying to figure out what Andy Griffith had "-e--te-."

"Goings" was much easier -- the end of *I Love Lucy* and two non-abbreviated, non-"juniored" showbiz deaths.

I agree with everybody above, particularly how it was a lot of fun.

But I also with Leslie's concerns about that "Comings" puzzle. That was wild. Took me a LONG time to come up with who got married--I keep thinking of last names because that's how others in the puzzle were mentioned. Well, except JFK Jr, another interesting variation in this veritable cornucopia of a puzzle.

Redsox09 sorry I missed your puzzle. I think you were referring to my 50 years ago too.
