Make up your own mind Garrybl. When I saw the style of the Timeball station, I though it was on the South Island of New zealand but I couldn't check because I had to go to work....bummer. (OH I hope that isn't rude in America).

The reason I thought this is because about 2 years ago, Dunedin Railway Station with the same style of architecture was the WTHAI....solved by Uclownwolf3.

You need to keep trying different combinations, you're right Marilyn, I'm learning this now. I recently guessed the correct place, but wasn't specific about "which building", so someone else got the points right after my guess. Might've have (who knows) given away the answer for all I know. Just a warning.....keep trying a million times over until you see that green screen, even if you are in a hurry or really don't want to put that much time into it!!

A tip, free of charge, from stout.

Congrats everybody on the win!! Nice going Marilyn, Larry, Joee, et. al.!

Hmmm...not to be unreasonable about it, but I am *so* not giving up the points for this morning's Where the Heck Am I for the "correct" answer "Ir D F Woudagemaal Pumping Station" when I guessed all of these before the eventual "winner":

d.f. woodagemaal pumping station, netherlands
Ir.D.F. woodagemaal pumping station, netherlands
wouda steam pumping station, netherlands
d f wouda steam pumping station, netherlands
wouda pumping station, schokload, netherlands
pumping station, netherlands

I don't blame the "winner" for trying other variations of the answer, but I hope most would agree that I identified this WTHAI.

It is often impossible for us to cover all variations of a place name. Please accept our apologies that we didn't do a better job with this one. As a reminder to all WTHAI players, Wikipedia is our main reference source for people/place names and their spelling. If you are pretty sure you know the right place, please refer to the Wikipedia page for the person/place and the title at the top of the page (with no other extras such as city, state, or country) will definitely be included on our answer list.

You have also been given credit for your answer choices, Dasfunk. Congrats!

Jajasmin was given credit for her answer for Prince Daniel Duke Of Vastergotland. Congratulations!

As a reminder to all players, it does state in the instructions on the puzzle page not to include any punctuation or diacritics in your answers. Please remove any of these from your responses when you are typing them in. The Sploofus system does not recognize these and your answer will not be recognized as correct. Thank you.

Congrats Dasfunk and Jajasmin.

As Sploofusmaximus said, you have to refer to wikipedia for the spelling. If you do not enter it correctly you are giving someone else the opportunity to steal your answer. It does say on the actual page to refer to wikipedia.

I have now won 3 WTHAI , 2 thanks to Dasfunk and Jajasmin, and after hours of searching I eventually found "Yigresa Del Oriente".

I have been on Sploofus for 3 years and ive spent hours and hours looking for the WTHAI. Eventually I had the chance to get the answer (Dasfunks guess) and I couldnt not take it and the same goes for Jajasmin's guess. But it is a hell of alot more satisfying finding it yourself

I understand what you all were saying after taking your guesses. From now on, if I see that someone has posted the correct answer I will message the person. But I may get in trouble for posting the answer, and it also gives everyone else the chance to steal the answer.

Apologies if that caused any upset.

Good luck to everyone for future WHAI.

Im on a role.. won 22 total now .

It's a bit irritating when you enter the winning answer but it says its wrong. I always use the names off wiki. I understand the editor cannot enter every single possible answer, but the basic ones would be good.

Also,
Every time i refresh the page when a new square is revieled it always keeps the same image for the first five minutes. Strange.

Good luck all for future WTHAI

Does anyone feel like I do that WTHAI is soon to become obsolete? My daughter pointed out to me that in her job as an art director she uses picture finding software called TinEye. After downloading the software you right click on the picture and choose "find image" - and it finds it. Apparently there's lots of similar software out there and it's improving all the the time. I wonder if anything can be done to counteract this? (Like putting a line through the picture or changing it in some slight way???) And who knows, maybe someone is already using the software.

I'm always on the tail end of the technological curve. I was the last person I know to have a computer, and I still don't have a camera or email in my cellphone, which I've only had for a couple years and usually forget when I go out. I don't text or tweet, but I do know what it looks like when I see other people doing it. I think your daughter is right, and the game may not go obsolete, but I think it's going to change from who's best at figuring out and finding the picture to who has the best program to find the picture for them.

I've never heard of tineye. and I certainly dont use any software other than wikimedia and wikipedia.

If the image has question marks through it surely that would block it out of the image from the image finder.

The coconut house, I was really bored, a whole day on sploofus and I was about to turn my computer off. I noticed the tree so I searched coconut building and it was there. anyone could have done it.

Why doesnt sploofus add a block so that all these sites are blocked while sploofus is opened.

Image finding software would just spoil the whole point of it.

If it makes anyone feel better why dont we all enter the steps to finding the image. or take a screen shot of the page and give everyone a link.

Although Sploofus can read this, ill send in a ticket and hopefully get something done to avoid this.

I have also mentioned this in a support ticket...

If sploofus changed the WTHAI pages to flash, then you wouldnt be able to copy or save the imags. It would just give you the flash settings.

Could also disable the right click button.

It was lovely to see Marie Bashir on WTHAI. One of only a few faces that I have actually recognized and haven't had to search for. She is a very popular lady! I read a little about her...I knew she was around 80 years old...she doesn't look it..... but I didn't know that we went to the same high school. Interesting! (for me anyway)
