BLUE DIAMOND??

I've been checking to see if there was anything on the blue diamond in the WR's, but haven't found anything. My curiosity finally got the better of me, so, what is it and how do you get it? Thanks to anyone who can clarify! Teresa

Teresa, you get the blue diamond from playing Word Matches. You don't have to do anything special. You'll be playing along and then you'll get a round with a blue background. You have to get 100% in 2 minutes.

Good luck!

I still would like to find out if anyone on a Mac has gotten either a bean or a diamond. If you have and you see this, would you message me? Thanks!

I'm on a Mac and I see nothing. I don't know if you automatically get it or if you have to click on something. I do both in under two minutes, but once i get a decent score - 80-100% I usually don't pursue it further, as I have another life Or at least I try and have another life. LOL!!

Not me. I'm on a Mac, I sometimes do the WordMatches till my fingers are sore....no blue diamonds here. Or golden footballs either. I just think it is the same wondrous luck that allows me to lose every raffle I have ever entered.

In the beginning Dwayla, I thought you had to click on something, but you don't. You can be playing a regular wordround or wordmatch, and when you click on for the next round either a deep yellow screen will pop up automatically with your questions on the wordrounds, and on the wordmatches, when you click for the next round, a blue screen will automatically pop up with your 10 questions, telling you have 2 minutes to get a 100 %. Hope this helps, since I thought you had to look for something.

uncleresa: Click on next 30 posts at the bottom in Salty Dog. Click on the 10/17 post by Sargon about Nuggets, go down to the 6th post by Sploofus. That's the last official update we've had on this that I know about. He's talking about "blue brains"; easter eggs and green grork which are supposed to be in quizzes; wordpuzzles and different locations. As I understand, you do click on these if you see these, and he says something amazing will happen if you get all three. Hope this helps!

Thanks Marilyn for the info. I always wondered if you knew ahead of time if you were eligible for an "award" for that round. I think I'd be so nervous that I'd mess up just trying I've never seen any blue or gold on my computer screen, but wouldn't mind seeing it . LOL!!

I won a "golden nugget" a few days ago, but even after knowing what to expect on the yellow screen, it still startled me when another one popped up about 3:00 a.m. this morning. It's always been my experience if I don't know a word for sure to go with my first impression, because if I change it, usually my first impression was right; however, this morning it didn't work that way. There was only one which I was debating between (2) words, and that time my theory didn't work, and I lost 100,000 pts., which is a bad way to start your morning.

I'm thinking there must be something to the theory that Mac users don't qualify for diamonds or footballs. I've been doing WRs fairly regularly on my Mac, but I have yet to become one of the chosen. These things are sprinkled all around me in the results, but never right at me. Whassup?

Justin was on briefly in chat yesterday when the WRs and WMs had just been brought back up, so I took the moment to ask him directly about the Mac thing. He said that the nuggets and diamonds will work on a Mac. I have yet to see one, but anyway, just wanted to let others know what he said.

That's good to hear. There's already enough Macscrimination in this world. And my kitchen table needs a 90" round tablecloth. Go try to find one of those in a pretty pattern.

I've been doing WRs and WMs several times daily for days and days and days. So far no nuggets or diamonds. Could this be mere chance, or do I smell a conspiracy? Response, please, from other Mac users?

I'm not a mac user but I have a response. I've been playing MANY more word rounds and matches than I really want to because I just love that little blue diamond. I don't care so much about the gold nugget. I finally did get the blue background screen when I was playing in the middle of the night, up with insomnia. I was pretty groggy and kept checking and rechecking my answers and went over the time limit! Aaargh.

I admit, I've lost some of my enthusiasm for the game, having played too much of it. And now I've gone and lost another fourth of my points on a wager today. This gambling is dangerous and addictive!

I am not a mac user and I have not gotten anything so don't feel bad. I'm sure it will happen for you sooner or later. Keep trying!!

Marilyn- do you mean you actually LOST 100,000 points, or you didn't WIN them? Hate to think you would lose points for not making it through 100%!! Teresa

Teresa...

I won 100,000 each for the "golden nugget" and the "blue diamond"; however, since those wins, I had more opportunity on the "golden nugget" and lost and (2) more chances on the "blue diamond". On the "golden nugget" wordround, there were (2) similar answers to one question which was the only one I had doubts about, but I was afraid to go back and change it as usually my first impression turns out to be right. I'm not real good as far as speed on the Wordmatches anyway. Those (2) seemed harder for me than usual. One I chose the wrong answer; therefore, making two wrong answers, and the other one I timed out on. It kind of gives you a sick feeling once you lose your chance, but I'm not complaining since I have had the opportunity to win one each and I know others have not. It usually gives me a panic attack when the gold or blue screen comes up. LOL

Congratulations Dwayla on your "Blue Diamond". I think they're pretty, and that "blue" screen sends me into panic mode. LOL

Thanks Marilyn! I know what you mean with panic, cause that was my first reaction. Glad it was the WM and not the WR cause I do better on the WM.
