PHEWWWWWWW!

I just got a TQOTD question that is very misleading. It asks about a daytime show and asks who, of the listed personalities, is not and has never been a host of the show. Perhaps when the question was written, this information was correct but times, they do change, and now ALL the personalities listed in the question are correct. Of course, I had 32 million points riding on this questions and phewwwww, I just guessed at the one that hasn't been a host for very long and it was right.

Are these questions audited with any frequency?

This is why I NEVER wager when I have any levels to lose, only millions of points LOL.

I have once wagered on a question where the correct answer wasn't even there.

When the question came up i read it and thought, haha i know this, but alas it wasn't even an option. I guessed and lost but afterwards I thought to myself perhaps the answer I thought it was was actually wrong, so googled it, only to find that the answer I had thought it was (the one that wasn't there) was in fact correct.

ARGH

When you find these problems you need to REPORT THEM. Copy the answer, with the question ID number, and send it in to the support system.

Sploofizz, sorry to say but I did that, it was about 2 months ago and I have heard nothing back about it.
I remember there was a thread about Justin saying he had got the response time down to 2 or 3 days but it seems that is not the case anymore due to whatever reason.
To be honest It was such a long time ago it is out my system now. lol

It has been reported with the question ID attached.

Not all Support Tickets are answered, but that doesn't mean they are not dealt with...especially if more than one person reports the problem. Each question in TQOTD databank must be handled separately, sometimes by the editor who authored the question.

I know that whenever these problems are brought to our attention we discuss them in the Editor Chat room, and the editors always bring the big-deal issues to Justin's attention multiple times.

That's the best we can do.

Just to make sure I understand what you are saying, Editor Sploofizz, platinum members who are supposed to receive priority support only receive it on some support questions?

I thought when we paid $50 bucks for 6 months of Sploofus, we were supposed to get Priority support, but now you are saying that is only sometimes??

If I am not understanding this support issue correctly, would you please clarify for me?

Most gratefully,

Morrie

Only Justin can read support tickets, and thusly, only Justin can deal with them. I know he gives priority to Platinum members, and I know that he refunds points and wager tokens when they are lost on a bad question.

I cannot say whether he deals with each and every bad TQOTD that is reported on a timely basis, but when they are brought to Editors' attention, we deal with the ones we can (we can only edit the ones we authored).

My point was that Justin does not always take the time to follow through on a support ticket by letting the member who sent it in know that it has been handled. Simply because it has not been labeled as 'cleared' should not make one assume it has not been seen, or dealt with in some way (even if the way it is dealt with is to leave it alone for more pressing matters!)

Again, I do not speak for Justin, I am only trying to dispel some of the myths. I am not privy to the information on the number of support tickets received each day, but I believe the number to be enormous! At least enough to warrant a full-time customer-service rep to be hired!

But it is currently just Justin and a handful of volunteer editors. New hardware, new features, new requests being answered every day, a growing number of members, a lot of good camaraderie - I think we have lots of things to be happy with and proud of here. So sometimes there's a glitch, sometimes games so down or pages time out, or a bad question or typo in a Word Puzzle gets through, or a support ticket goes unanswered; this too shall pass!

Have a great Sploofing day!

Thanks for clarifying things, Sploofizz! I wondered who wrote all of the TQOTDs.

Justin already had a large databank full of questions for TQOTD before the editors were "hired". We have been adding to the list in drips and drabs.

Most of the really badly worded questions and out-of-date answers were Justin's fault! We would never write stuff like that now!

And BTW, TQOTD is a whole separate bank of questions, not in any way overflow to or from quiz questions.
