I have just posted two new quizzes which by this time had about 20 takers. One is a one-word quiz which has only one star difficulty, the lowest ever for me. I ask to name a word most commonly associated with a well-known medication. This quiz has a current rating of above 8. The other with a 6-star difficulty was also done on a medical topic, involved some time and research, however the rating berely got to 7, it has started as 6.3. Could you please explain. Do people always rate more difficult quizzes lower?

Sometimes I don't think it matters. I think it just depends on who happens to take your quizz. If you get a run of players who have a habit of rating quizzes low, it just happens that way. Then sometimes you'll get a run of players who have a habit of rating quizzes higher, or at least, that's been my experience. I took that quiz of yours and rated it a 9!, so if others rate it high, it averaged out high.

I find there are a lot of players who will rate it a 9 because they have got 100% on it and others will rate it lower if they haven't.

But I would say that the vast majority will rate it the rating that it deserves.
Also remember after a quiz has been taken only 20 times or so the average can change quickly, it is better to wait until it has reached more takers and you will be able to gauge the TRUE average better

In doing some spot research, it seems that Sploofers that have been on the site a while have a much lower number in the 'rates others quizzes' section. This is not to say anything other than possibly more recent members are to casual in rating a 7 or better on everything. As previously stated statistics lie. So should a "which green vegetable am I" quiz be rated an 8 by the majority of people? It's all very subjective.

I guess my point is along the way inflation kicked in. If the scale is 1 thru 9 then it should reflect that in it's use. If a quiz is truly average (and the majority are, especially mine) should a 5 be reflective of the quiz.

These are just some rambling thoughts induced by being up to late and having to much coffee.

Sorry I fell asleep, and my face hit the keyboard.
