This morning I wagered 25% of my points on a TQOTD. I got the question right. However, I was informed that another (wrong) answer was right. I submitted a support ticket accordingly. Within 7 hours, I had an email from Justin saying that my points and token had been restored, and the offending question had been removed from the TQOTD database.

This site may not be perfect, and we may all get frustrated at times, but it's not due to any lack of desire or effort on Justin's part. I've said it before, let's try not to have our patience cut short for what is a very inexpensive entertainment provided us.

Just my personal opinion.

I agree that Justin goes out of his way to try to make this a more interesting and enjoyable site. Hopefully, with the new server he's getting for the site, it should take care of the loading problems, and time running out on the QOTD's for some people. I guess with over 15,000 people, it was bound to happen. I'm glad he was so prompt in restoring your points. So far, some of the worse things that have been happening, like losing wagers due to questions timing out and etc. haven't happened to me. Just slow loading and sometimes the screen jumps from wordrounds back to newest quizzes.

Justin has said he will notify us when the site may be down for the changeover to the new server.

Thanks Justin!

I agree. I have had some issues at times but everything seems to work out. Justin is busting his butt obviously. I wonder if he knew what he was getting into when he started this. I have never met or even seen Justin but he lives just a couple of miles from me. Oh well, he's not missing much.

If anyone ever feels ready to hit those buttons at Justin, just pause and consider whether you'd rather have Sploofus as it is - or not at all.
Then just put in a polite comment - whicb probably gets more attention anyway!

I love this wonderful site and I too wonder if Justin is sometimes amazed at how big it's grown. It's never boring, I've tried other trivia sites that are. It's free if you want it to be, although I encourage each of us to become at least silver members, Justin needs lots of support to keep this site up and running. It must truly be a labor of love. Donden, I live just down the road from you and Justin, trivia lovers are alive and well in Michigan!

Well . . . none of my support tickets has ever been answered, going all the way back to May. A couple of weeks ago, I staged a showdown and the question was never even shown to me. It was, however, shown to the challengee, who answered correctly. I explained to him what had happened, and he kindly wrote to Justin offering to return his points and asking Justin to restore my points and showdown token. I haven't heard a thing. I didn't even bother to fill out a support ticket because my backlog of tickets is so long.

I experience many ongoing glitches, such as that, using Sploofus. The screen freezes just as I submit the last quiz question, so I never get to rate the quiz, find out how I did, or get my score recorded.

In fact, in 9 out of 10 quizzes, the first question I receive is actually the first question of the previous quiz I took. So, for example, my quiz will contain 11 questions while everyone else taking the same quiz gets 10 questions. Thus my score shows a time that is completely out of wack with the other players' scores.

This sometimes works to my advantage (I'll get an 83.3 percent in 300 seconds, and get a higher score than everyone who got 80 percent in much less time. That first question from my previous quiz will give me an unfair advantage. But not to worry, it usually works to my disadvantage because I usually get the previous quiz's question wrong a second time!)

This way it's everchanging and keeps me on my toes. I just have to be unconcerned about points.

You have it EXACTLY right...don't be concerned about the points. You don't get to go to Tahiti with them, you don't get to buy a yacht with don't get to use them to purchase a new house...they are just "points".

I too find myself getting all hung up on the "points" thing...then reality sets in...HELLO KELLY...just points.

In the big scheme of things...everyone is just here to have a good time and learn some pretty cool stuff. In the end...points are just that....nothing.

Remind me of that the next time I blow a wager. Bahahahaha

My 2 cents....Me
