In crossword puzzles, I get used to the vocabulary of the author. After much practice, the crosswords become easier. But, when I pick up a crossword from another source, I often get thrown for the proverbial loop. Why is this one hard???!!!

Sometimes the WPs are like that. Exceptions: I forgot the Editor who put in the word 'faux', but that led me on a long letter search!

What about a WP on crossword puzzle authors? US and UK (ah, not Welsh, please, unless you must!). I think that would be fun!

Jeanne - Till that happens, I once wote a quiz on the History of Crossword Puzzles. I thought it was interesting, but hardly anyone ever took it You might give it a try!
