Mine expires around the lst of December. Will they let you renew it early and accept it through Paypal? Even if I lost a month of time by doing it early, I'd rather do that than wait 'til the last minute or the day it expires. Possibly they may go ahead and extend it from the ACTUAL EXPIRATION DAY. OR IT COULD CONTINUE FROM THE DAY YOU RENEW IF EVEN IF IT IS EARLY. Do you know the answer to this??? Thanks!!!

Check out

Your best bet is to simply wait until your current membership expires (your account will just go to the free service), and then click the Upgrade Account link when that happens.

Hope this helps

Hey FenixFelix...

Upgrade to platinum and the "problems" will be magically be solved by magical elves...

Just kidding...

I've only been a member for about a year now and the site has come a LOOOONNNNGGGG way!

Just remember that any upgrade in membership helps pay for better things, like a newer better server and (yes) more elves to do Mr. Sploofus(ssseses)bidding (which incidently, match yours).

So remember for a better site....UPGRADE!!!

I have seldom seen anyone use splooftalk. It is a shame since it is a nice feature, and can be much more effective for communication than the BBS......

I downloaded Javsscript, I think, in order to use it when it first became available just in case I decided to. I hate to be such dummy, but once the screen come's up for it I don't know how to use it. I haven't found anywhere to type. I guess I need instructions with it. LOL

I loved using Splooftalk, and found it far easier to use'n W/R "shouts". However, I was very disappointed to find so few using it.........I think it may be currently disabled?

I would love to see it reinstated though, please?

Justin, I know you're incredibly busy, but I have only one small request.

Get a good night's sleep for a change. We're all still here and the site is doing fine without all the extra bells and whistles.

you asked for examples: question 9, little boxes instead of quotes. Suzer22 quiz.

By the way, super job of editing by the editors. Great response, short queue and good suggestions.

On 'Salty Dog' and via personal posts, it seems almost certain that dial-up users can no longer log-in effectively following the recent updates.
They appear not to have the now-necessary power. The result is badly delayed loading at almost every function - with time-outs virtually guaranteed on TQODs etc.
Some quizzes that should take 50 seconds have taken as long as 500 seconds!
Technical comments from users have been passed to Sploofus management, with no reply as yet.
It is apparently possible that the new servers might be able to be adjusted to accommodate dial-up.

Sun, 19th Nov '06 4:16 AM

I am still working on the WP and image issues from the server move, but I can tell you with certainty that nothing has changed that would disadvantage dial-up users. The new network uses a load balancing system that directs your connection to the server with the least amount of traffic. It does not differentiate between broadband and dial up connections. I will do everything I can to investigate what is causing the load delays for you, but from the thousands of dial up Sploofusers I have not received any support tickets (other than this thread) that would indicate that dial up users are having any problems.

If you are a dial up user experiencing significant delays on the site please post here so that I can better get a handle on the situation to better troubleshoot it.

Ah - I see you are working on the image problems. They are still occurring.

I think it would be cool if there was something that told me I had mail no matter where I am in the sploofus pages. Then I could click on that and go straight to any messages I have.

I am also really really really struggling with page loads.

Can we please have the "Search" reinstated to BBS, please? I was looking for a thread, but cannot find it due to the disappearance of this useful feature!!

I'm still running into a relatively m,inor problem with the regular quizzes. When i go to answer them, I'm directed to the 'most popular quizzes' page with the information that I have answered the quiz already. i escape back to the quiz and can normally enter it in normal fashion then.
