resolved: "the simpsons" is past due for cancellation

there are examples of people who have seen that the creative process of a program has run its' course and - better to go out on top rather than run a show into the ground making a few more bucks. seinfeld, star trek TNG, what are some others?

latest episode had homer joining the military. again. worst...episode...ever. a mantra i've been repeating this and the last couple seasons (there've been a few exceptions). a miniature drone helicopter chases homer through the house. homer hides in a closet and comes out dressed in a sexy female drone costume to confuse it. this was hilarious - about 40 years ago when i was watching bugs bunny cartoons.

"jumping the shark" (google it) is the term i think of to describe this episode.

the latest treehouse of horror was horrible

matt groenings' name is listed as creative consultant in the opening credits. i think he stopped having anything to do the show long time ago, and just gets a check each week. bob odenkirks' (mr. show) name is in the spot where conan o'brians name used to be in the shows' golden years. he is a master of the sight gag or 3 minute skit, not a thirty minute program.

hopefully all the creative talent is going into the simpsons movie
