My quiz on chocolate bars is generating some problems I would like to fix.
As I'm Australian I don't know which of these bars exists in USA and other countries.
Could someone give me a list of chocolate bars that exist in USA, Australia and Europe?
Or you could tell me which of the following doesn't exist in USA:
Mars Inc.
Mars, Snickers, Bounty, Milky Way, Twix

Dream, Moro, Flake, Crunchie, Cherry Ripe, Turkish Delight, Twirl, Picnic, Boost

Aero, Crunch, Kit-Kat, Milky Bar

Other bars

Some popular bars I haven't got on my list?

I can't tell you who makes them, but Babe Ruth, Payday, Hershey's and Hershey Almonds are made in the USA. There are probably quite a few more, but that's all I can think of right now.

Sorry, the Payday doesn't have any chocolate in it.

A UK Mars Bar is what we call a Milky Way in the U.S. I don't know if a U.S. Mars Bar has a UK counterpart.

The candy bar is Baby Ruth. It was actually named for Babe Ruth, but the Curtiss Candy Company claimed it was named after former President Grover Cleveland's daughter, who was known as "Baby" Ruth when Cleveland was in office. That way they avoided paying the Babe for the use of his name.

See for the story.

'There are (or were) two slightly different products known as the Mars Bar. Both contained nougat topped with caramel and covered with milk chocolate. However, the product formerly sold as Mars in the USA contained almonds in the nougat, whereas the Mars still sold elsewhere does not. The chocolate bar that is known as the Mars Bar outside the USA is very similar to the bar known as Milky Way within the United States. In turn (and somewhat confusingly), a different bar is sold in Europe under the name "Milky Way". This closely resembles the 3 Musketeers bar sold in North America.'

OK so is this saying that an Australian Mars Bar is equivalent to a US Milky Way?
So what is a US Mars Bar?! Was it renamed the Snickers Almond?

I also found out the worldwide (non-US) Milky Way bar is similar to the American 3 Musketeers bar.

Sid - Going back to your list - While Cadbury exists in the US, they are not generally seen with the other candy bars. I know my candy as well as the next person, as the scale will attest, and I have never seen any of those Cadbury names.

Nestle - I have never seen Aero or Milky Bar

The easiest way to see which candy is sold where, is just to do an internet search on that particular company.

Off the top of my head, some popular candy bars in the US are:
Nestles - Crunch, Baby Ruth, 100 Grand, Butterfingers

Hershy's - Chocolate bars, Reese's, Kit Kats, Almond Joy, Mounds

Others I don't know whom they belong to - Twizzlers (Hershey's I think), Skittles, Starburst, Good & Plenty

Skittle - Taste the rainbow
Starburst - used to be opal fruits - made to make your mouth water
snicker used to be marathons
Mars bar - a mars a day helps you work rest and play

I am fairly sure that Mars Bars and Milky Way bars are entirely different. Mars Bars have that layer of caramel that Milky Way Bars don't.
Some countries have both, some have one or t'other....some have neither, poor deprived folks!

I am US. Had fun with your quiz guessing a likely name when I hadn't heard of them. Certainly scored better and enjoyed more than any "rock group" or song one. My age REALLY shows here. BAH!!!
