\\"d8Greg`a*ri"n\"91\, n. pl. [NL., fr. Gregarina the typical ______, fr. L. gregarius. See Gregarious.]

This 'word' showed up in my Word Match. It stole several seconds of my life doing a triple take! When I finished the match I clicked the word and found the above on (actual definition not posted here so as not to give away answers).

Since when are numbers part of the spelling of words?? Is this a glitch of some sort or is this really a legitimate word???

And in the pronunciation, just how do you pronounce "d8" and "91"?

Great. First we have all the clues being written by malacologists and ultrafundamentalists, now leet-speakers are getting in on the act. My guess is that's the internet handle of a woman whose highlight in life was going to dinner with the first guy in space. And she can't spell very well, and she typed the 6 upside-down.
