I answered todays QOD in 3.45 seconds, according to the message at the end. My time bonus was 579 instead of 1000. Does that seem weird to anyone? I have found that if you answer within 4 or 5 seconds you don't lose anyy of your time bonus. Has it changed to make the bonus more ummmm bonusy?

I answered in 4 seconds and only got 430 points for a time bonus--I think it used to be more.

I'm always too busy jumping around and celebrating that I FINALLY got one right to notice how many points it gave me. Maybe I'll start watching that!

I had six questions sitting there - so I took them all - it now seems to work on a reciprocal.

3.01 664
3.22 621
3.38 591
3.45 579 (yours)
3.69 542
9.75 205
11.97 167

Being a sad boffin - I worked it out. It is now calculated by dividing 2000 by your time (at least for the range of values above).

The corollary to the above is that (iff 2000/time=bonus) it is now possible to get more that 1000 bonus points (ie for time less than two seconds) and that there is a minimum bonus points of 66.

ps I want some of what Brian/Swarp is taking to get those awesome wordround times.

Doesn't the time bonus also depend on your level? Although at 35.6 [yes, I checked ], I'd think Machiabelly was maxed out now...

Yes once your time bonus hits 1000 it stops growing.
Thanks for working that out. I am sure that is new, or if not new, there used to be a grace period before the deductions started.
