I have a question. I know how to delete the questions on a quiz that has been launched and returned but I can not figure out how to delete the title and details? I do not see the errors and can not figure out everything that needs to be changed.. so I am thought I would just dump the quiz but it seems that i can not.. i can delete the questions but not the title
eventually once i find someone local that i can pay to edit it and correct it i will redo it, but for now i just dont want to look at it sitting there sayng build.. so i thought i would get rid of it

i found someone that i can email all my quizzes to and pay her to correct them but i was told to expect ten days as it is the end of the semester and it is a grad student at the univeristy.

Anyway back to the delete issue, can a title and details be deleted or not?

You cannot delete an entire quiz once it has been approved/launched. You can only delete a quiz before you have sent it for editing. You used to be able to edit all parts of a quiz after approval, but recently it was changed so that you can no longer modify a title or change a category after it has been approved. You can only change the questions.

You can also change the description and the image as well.

Ravenslight if it ISN'T against any Sploofus rules, I would be happy to give you a hand with it?
Do you still have the note from the editor about what the changes needed for it are?

I guess I should make statement or two. I have ADHD, which makes it difficult for me to see my own errors. I can see the errors if I wait several weeks and come back to the quiz, but let's face it, I have ADHD. Patience is as far from my strong point as it comes. I am capable of patience with animals and children but that is about it. I have been quite successful and done well in school and college, because I have always had a good editor around,my mother. My mother passed away almost two years ago and I lost my editor. She was a high school english teacher, with her Masters plus 30. She started teaching before Kennedy died and taught well into the 90's. When her former students found out that she was sick, she recieved almost 2000 cards from former students. In fact, my stepfather was limiting visits from non-family to 10 minutes at a time. Two of her former students drove all night from the east coast, to sit and talk for 10 minutes with her.. for those non-americans.. about 1000 miles one way. She did not give extra credit, she did not buy into WHOLE language, she did not accept excuses for late work. She did arrive at school 45 minutes early and stay 45 minutes late 5 days a week, so that students could come to her room to read, ask questions, get extra help, or talk. She spent over $300 a year on books for a library in her classroom that included classics, thrillers, popular novels, etc anything that would encourage students to read. She was harsh when it came to editing papers. In fact, she assigned a minimum of a paper a week on a novel or short story every week that school was in session, for every student in every class. She graded each one herself, until I was a junior in highschool. I graded freshman papers then. She had a page that went on every single paper, that listed errors and such, she then would check off what was wrong and what line it was in.

I can see other people's mistakes in writing, but I do have trouble editing my own work. I also get very frustrated. If it is not against the rules, I have had an exceptional offer of assistance. Most of the time I have not had a lot of difficulty but occassionaly, I end up getting a quiz back without a lot of direction and it makes it very difficult to correct. That is not the site's responsibility, but it does make it difficult for me to figure out what needs to be changed. Most of the editors have been really great and offered me guidance on what needs to be corrected. The editors here do a thankless job and I have the utmost respect for them.
