PERSONALITIES ON SPLOOFUS

I was wanting to do some research on personality types on Sploofus. The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) is a personality test designed to assist a person in identifying some significant personal preferences. If my fellow sploofusers would be so kind, take this quick quiz and let me know what personality type you are.
http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/JTypes2.asp If for some reason you dont want anybody else to know you can email me the resluts at ron1kon@hotmail.com There is no right or wrong personality. I would like to point out, I will not be using personal data and I need as many results as possible. If you are interested in the way your type is broken down check this site out: http://www.personalitypage.com/portraits.html I am an INFP. I showed mine, now show yours

Ok kids, play nice lol... Anyway, something that may interest you, is that a little less than 3/4 of people are extroverts, but people become "slightly" more introverted with age. The only clear factor that sex effects in the results, is in the feeler/thinker catergory. Women are more likely to be feelers, while men are more likely to be thinkers. Keep in mind though that all personality types have their strengths and weanknesses that make this world, and the rules of human interaction what they are. Because of this all personality types have a crutial place that is valuable to yourself and others. There are no right or wrong results here. Lol.. but there goes the idealist in me. I need plenty of perticipants in this poll, so please ask your friends to help me out. Thanks again.

This is a general estimate of the population that is represented by each type. The actual number is hard to nail down, because some types (especially INF's because they tend to work in field) are more likely to take this kind of test. On the otherhand other types, (SJ's) generally dont like to take this kind of test and the number is lower than the actual population. And like Jerryew pointed out "I think it is difficult to answer the question as to the way we truly are, that that which we would like to be" However, the test has a 5% margin of error, which is relatively low.
ISTJ (12%) (Inspector)

ISFJ (8%) (Protector)

ENTJ (6%) (Field Marshal)

INTJ (6%) (Mastermind)

ESFP (5%) (Performer)

To be honest I found some of the questions to be unreasonable.
For eg there was one about where you prefer standing in a room.
Think it said do you prefer to stand in the middle of a room rather than near a wall?
yes or no
if you answer yes then that means you like to stand in the middle,
but if you answer no, that doesn't mean you like to stand nearer a wall, it could mean you have no preference.

Quite a few of the questions were like that, and had there been an option of 'neither' or 'not bothered' I would have selected that choice.

Just a comment.

INTP - absent-minded professor. Well . . . it's true that I was voted most absent-minded in my senior class. 20 years ago I was an INFP, but 10 years ago I changed from F to T. I think I'll go take the test at the recommended site and see what I am now.

I've been thinking for a while that those who do well at wordrounds are probably Js, and I'm far from a J so that was my excuse. But I see in this thread that some Ps are great at wordrounds (such as Alaskan-whatever that number is) so there goes that excuse.

Call me either INTP or INFP for your poll. I'm right on the cusp.

When I did this test about 8 years ago through work I was an ENFJ. I have changed a lot in that time and so has my lifestyle so it seems reasonable to me that I've become an ENFP (although only just "E"). I took the test again today, just to see if I got the same result and I did.

Having said that, I don't think the description is completely "me".

The Portrait of the FieldMarshal Rational (eNTj)
Hardly more than two percent of the total population, the Fieldmarshals are bound to lead others, and from an early age they can be observed taking command of groups. In some cases, Fieldmarshals simply find themselves in charge of groups, and are mystified as to how this happened. But the reason is that Fieldmarshals have a strong natural urge to give structure and direction wherever they are -- to harness people in the field and to direct them to achieve distant goals. They resemble Supervisors in their tendency to establish plans for a task, enterprise, or organization, but Fieldmarshals search more for policy and goals than for regulations and procedures.

It says I'm an ISTJ, but my sensing percent was real low - I took this test in grad school and I think I was an INTJ back then.

If I remember correctly, when you take the test, you are not supposed to stop and think about, or analyze the questions - just read it and answer it with your first instinct.

I know the answer to this part of mine - at least in my case:
"In some cases, Fieldmarshals simply find themselves in charge of groups, and are mystified as to how this happened. "

I'm no longer mystified - I'm idiotfied because when no one else volunteers, my hand sticks up in the air all by itself like it's not part of my body...nope, no mystification here

I've taken similar tests before and I think that's the same it's always turned out. At least I'm consistent!

When I take this test I score ENFP or INFP depending on the day. My E's and I's are very close score-wise. Good luck on your research!
