WORDPUZZLE REQUEST

I know there must be some male editors. We've seen tea and recipes, but I don't recall ever seeing a sports WordPuzzle. Is there an editor with manly knowledge regarding something other than soccer, water polo or darts. You know football, ice hockey, baseball or basketball. To clarify NO make believe sports like roller derby, wrestling or nascar. Anyone up to it?

Piece of cake. One baseball puzzle is in the pipeline, with more possible if it's well-liked. We'll probably drop in some football around Super Sunday.

Kewl! Sports quizzes don't get much play here, but considering the strange stuff of late it will be great. Thanks.

There's nothing make-believe about NASCAR.

None of your puny 2-team, 1-field sports for the race fan. Not for us the miserly 16-event season. NASCAR is FORTY THREE teams facing each other on a DIFFERENT field every week with no homefield advantage, 2 days a week, 40 weeks a year (Busch and Cup). The surfaces, cars, personalities, risks and rewards change by the minute. The variables are staggering. It involves fierce competition and technical excellence within hundredths of thousandths of a second; it requires physical stamina, dedication, strength and enormous nerve, not to mention extraordinary hand-eye coordination and lightning-quick reflexes. What part of that is not sport?

People die doing it. Seems pretty real right there.

My mistake. I thought nascar was where the first 30 people to show up got a big belt buckle and a cowboy hat along with the right to drive around in a big ole circle over and over and over and over...............

Oh, now I see the problem. You're about 40 years behind the times on your NASCAR there, sport.

LOL! Okay give me a car to drive on the field and I'll lead the NFL in rushing next year. A real athlete doesn't need a machine.

Who says? Where's that rule in the athlete's handbook? C'mon Fen, don't just stop with machinery, take the equipment too. Real athletes don't need pads and helmets, bats and balls. Let's all go back to naked athletes hand to hand. It's the only real sport there is. Sheesh.

The word athlete means a contender for a prize, or one who trains for or is skilled at contests requiring strength, agility, speed or stamina. I believe I already covered that.

So much negativity. tsk tsk
