You're probably thinking, "Me, take Smoke20's 'Sploofproof Book Quiz--Outlander'? How can I? I've never read, nor even heard of the book!" I know that, you know that, and most importantly, Smoke20 knows that. The quiz is designed so that even people who didn't know the book existed have a reasonable shot at 100%, while introducing readers to the subject matter of the story, without providing extensive spoilers. It's truly a captivating quiz about what to its author was obviously a captivating book. Give it a try.

It WAS a great quiz! Having never read it I still got a 90%, but more than that I was wishing that the story went on. I hope there will be part 2 and more!

Kelley, go get the book! I promise you'll love it and go right out and get the next and the next until you're on pins and needles waiting for the next one to come out!

I read Outlander over six years ago and the quiz brought back good memories of how it all began - I've read all the sequels and they're all a lot of fun. Take the quiz, then read the books!

Great big hearty thanks to all who took the quiz, and to my buddy Ken Kaufman for helping get it noticed! I've had more positive feedback about it than any other quiz I've written (even though it hasn't had nearly as many players as most of them), and it's still maintaining EA-like ratings, for which I'm very grateful. I look forward to discussing the books with all the new readers--you have a truly exceptional reading experience in store!

The first one I bought was "Drums of Autumn," a middle-of-the-night Walmart impulse buy because the cover caught my bleary eye. I didn't realize until I got it home that it was one of a series (the last at the time), but I knew in a very few pages this was something I wanted to read from the beginning, so I set aside until I could get to the book store. The next two months passed in a thrilling blur of tartan and heather. The house got filthy, the dogs went unwalked and the pizza boxes stacked up. Sort of like the first two months of Sploofus membership. Okay, six.

I'm currently trying the same treatment on another favorite series. What could be better than sharing books with friends?

I too, found the quiz entertaining and then went to the library looking for the book. I had to ask for it to be sent from another branch, so I'll have to wait a few weeks. Thanks for the fun quiz, Donna ... and thanks to Ken for pointing us in your direction!
