AWESOME PERFORMANCE

I have an idea. How about special monthly awards for best performances in the different catagories. Most first place finishes in the word rounds, most top three finishes, and most amazing ( I didn't say unbelievable )scores in the word puzzles. Alicia16106 gets my vote for most amazing ( I didn't say unbelievable ) performance in the wp's for this month.
In todays WP I spent 30 some odd minutes, went through 2 espresso's, half a pack of cigarettes, one legal pad and half of a # 2 lead pencil before entering my final answer. I really thought I nailed this one with my 32 guesses. I was shocked to see a score 25 guesses better than mine.
Being a humble person, I'd again like to congradulate Alicia for her Amazing ( I didn't say unbelievable) effort and submit her name for this months Award.

Great idea!.. I'll never get one but hey.. doesn't mean others shouldn't! .. by the way, I think you are not supposed to post scores or results until after the WP expires.

Lisa, this info is NOT secretive. Just have a look at The Leaderboard.. "The Trivial Years, the 30's". Oh and just for the record, I agree 100% with the 1st. thread poster.

People can't see the leaderboard until they've done the puzzle.

Unless,....oh wait nevermind. Enough already on that.

If there was a case for 'threadicide', this may be it.

I think Alicia's amazing (I didn't say unbelievable either) score is impressive and I am dazed by her stunning ( I didn't say unbelievable) abilities. I will now go to my home gym and run 30 miles on the treadmill and then bench press 600 pounds.
Yours truly,
Don

Ok, I know this won't be seen as superbly popular but ehre goes. I really would like to see the newer players have a way to gain points. There are numrous ways to get points here but those very few who consistently rank in the top echelon of WP, WR and WM all ready get alot of points. It is intimidating to those with lesser scores to try repeatedly and never get in the top ten. Maybe something to aim for, but reality is the majority of the players will never attain that status. There are gems, extra points added in dependent on the difficulty of a quiz you take, and points for writing quizzes. Do we really need another way to reward the top players with more points?
Can't they just get a week on the island with their own private cabana boy/girl and free umbrella drinks and call it good?

Couldn't agree more. Never came close to the top ten in anything. I only answer 1 question on wr/wm, gets me 500 points each. I do wp just for the fun of it. More point distribution would be good, but I'm just as happy living in my little world......
