ADDICTED!

I was in the midst of creating a quiz, and my computer decided to act up. I was told the page was not available, etc. I immediately started scratching and seeing things. To not be able to go on Sploofus? Unthinkable! Fortunately, me, the computer illiterate, went into norton anti-virus and I was up and running! Anyone else have these nasty heart palpitations? It would be nice to know there is someone out there who could help me in my times of total paranoia!

Does the dry mouth, trembling and irrational irritability of Sploofus-withdrawals mean anything to you? Sound familiar, huh?

Uh...Gator....work is the place where I get my major Sploofusing done. It's very sporatic though cause my boss who is borderline manic, pops into my office (I'm a personal assistant) about every 15 to 20 minutes, and I have to do this fast alt-tab browser shuffle, I must look like I'm on crack when I jump at her entrance and start clicking things like a psycho.

My sploofus time actually DECREASED after I stopped working customer service. Fast and free internet connection + long, boring phone calls = lots and lots of quizzes. I got everyone else at work hooked, too.

I very rarely log on at home - always at work.

You could try telling your boss that studies have shown that concentration spans top out at around 40 minutes - so that by taking a ten minute sploofus break every hour or so, you are actually improving your overall efficiency.

Or that you are trying to give up smoking - so all the time you used to spend standing outside wheezing away, you now spend in a healthy intellectual pursuit.

Neither of these will work - but you've got to go down fighting.

I have my desk at work arranged so that I'm facing the door and my monitor's screen is facing away from the door. Feng shui? Nope. Feng sploofus.
