WORD ROUNDS

I would love to see what I actually got wrong in the word rounds. Anyone else?

Good morning:
I get frustrated too with that 90% staring me in the face and I KNOW I had them all right. You probably all know this trick, but I keep a second browser open all the time with Dictionary.com on it. On Sploofus, I press "back" and look at the list of words and definitions. For the ones I question I put each answer in the search window of Dictionary.com. One of them will usually yield the same definition as on the Sploofus page. Now when I first started this, I would send indignant posts to Sploofus and ask if anyone had checked these things because at times I simply couldn't find the match. That's when I learned to look at the other sources Dictionary.com had. I also discovered a new (for me)trick recently and that's to take the whole definition and put it into the search window on Google. That works very well. I know I've forgotten every word I ever looked up; but I knew, at the time anway, what I got wrong.

Nope Linenlady.. I'd never have thought of that trick in a million years.. every one that I get right comes from my lil ole brain..

Oh Diane
I would not have thought of that either and I think it sounds like a lot of hard work for my wee brain >. Having said that, I think I know where you are coming from with the idea of doing it, I guess that you are just checking your words after you have played the round, it that right??
Lolly, Mine all comes straight out of my head as well, such as it is

And, yes I do wish we knew which ones we got wrong.

Good morning:
Oh dear! I guess I should have made that clear. Of course I check AFTER the round. It's only then that I know one or two or more were wrong and I'm curious to know which ones. And all my answers right or wrong come from my head as well.

I figured it was after. If you could get 20 sec times while looking up answers, that would be quite impressive. :D

That 7500 points is addictive, isn't it? Now you know why people get hooked on the word rounds, lol. Congrats on your first win, by the way.

Yeah I get frustrated with not being able to see which questions I got wrong, but I'm usually so frazzled with trying to get the wordround done in a timely manner that I almost dont want to know some of the stupid answers I selected hehe.

OMG !!! Sometimes I'm just flat amazed at the
100% that comes up and I'd just like to see all the questions again so I could reinforce the words that I guessed. Then at just the right moment use one of them $100 words. LMBO

I get a little frustrated about not knowing what I got wrong, but I get WAY more frustrated seeing people get 100% in 20 seconds or less. Even when I fly through them, I have about 10-15 seconds where I get hung up waiting for the questions. There is NO WAY I could get 100% in under 30 seconds.

You would be suprised at how you get quicker the more wordrounds you participate in, granted broadband and a wheel-mouse are two vital components to success but a top ten finish is there for the taking by anyone.

My own method is to look for similar words in the question/answer along with actually knowing at least 2 or 3 in any one attempt...it is vital not to dwell for any more then 3seconds on a question just use an edgucated guess and move on........

We are currently reconfiguring the WordRounds platform to:

(1) Offer faster page loads
(2) Show correct answers after each round
(3) Eliminate "round has expired" error

Cheers!

I absolutely agree--I would love to know what I got wrong. I also hate that sometimes when I try to play I get the red screen and lose like 15 seconds waiting for the questions to come up on my screen.
