Hi! Am I the only one here who sometimes feel disappointed when someone challenge you to a showdown? Sploofus, is there a way that you can change it? I would like to have an "option" of being able to refuse or join the showdown. I know how I've worked so hard to get my points and just lose them in a trivia showdown. Thank you!

When you are challenged, you don't lose either way,at least not your points!

Thanks....I made a mistake in my post. I know that I dont lose any points but the idea of someone doing it just to be able to get some "points" is quite unacceptable. Well, anyway...I just want to have some kind of option. Like do I want to participate with the showdown or not....a simple button of Yes or No will do

When someone challenges you, you don't have to accept the challenge. Just don't respond. But you have nothing to lose by accepting a challenge. If you accept and lose, you don't actually lose any of your points - even though the challenger gets points, they are not from your jackpot. If you accept and win, then the challenger loses his points. Only the challenger assumes any risk.

I think I see what you'e getting at here. Even if you don't respond to the showdown challenge, at the end of a week, the challenger is getting 10% of your points, whether they come out of your point treasure box or not, and may pull ahead of you on the leaderboard.

I love to challenge and get challenged. I also figure if someone beats me in the challenge, they deserve the points. There are alot of different ways to get points here-wager and challenge tokens, wordrounds (where I think the big "money" is) etc. Someone is always going to be ahead of you on the leaderboard unless you're in first place-and if someone beats you in a challenge and takes over your place, it just means it's their turn to be there. You'll get there again. No worries.

To completely honest, I like to be challenged, it is up to the challenger if they want to take a chance on gaining or losing, thats what it is all about is'nt. It would'nt be a challenge otherwise the other person is within their rights to gamble on wether they gain or lose points surely and the responder has nothing to loose.
I personally dont see where the beef is, I have never come across anyone that does not wnat to win some free points.
Sorry just my opinion
