We are out of topics for CQs. Some submit your ideas.

We have already done:

Manmade Wonders
Natural Wonders of the World
A Musical Offering
Holiday Quiz
The Natural World

Offer up an topic. We will database all of the responses and use the top 3 or 4 like before.

Award and Famous Infamous Folks were also our previous topics.

New ideas:
The World of Ancient Civilizations.
The most influential events last century.
Look into the future...
The Vast Sea World
The World Above Us

I think the topics should be little narrower than just the Natural World, but still give enough opportunity to find different ideas within one topic.

Thank you.

I'd like to see one on modes of transportation. Could be ancient to sci-fi, classic cars, aerospace, ships, mass transportation, etc. Wide open!

......another topic could be "Changes In Our Lifetimes".

* Just think of the innovative inventions that have come along since you were born.
* Also consider how fashions have evolved.
* Look at societal changes: what was not acceptable when we were li'l kids is commonplace today.
* Slang has become part of our everyday language, but consider how much of what we speak today would be unintelligible to someone from 40~50 years ago!
.......and so much more!

Comedy would be a good one as Bev stated...there's a whole big world out there of comedy and the people who make us laugh. Another good one I think would be on innovations of a certain decade say like the 50's...that would be interesting too. One on the paranormal and ghosts might be fun too..just some thoughts here Steve....

Some possibilities for Community Quiz challenge;
Countries that no longer or never existed (mixture of fantasy e.g.Lilliput and former real places e.g.Nyasaland).
Films that should have won the Oscar
People who changed the world
Words that have changed through time - bad idea????
Creatures great and small
Places I would love to visit
People I would love to have been

Just a few suggestions. Thanks very much to Justin and the Sploofus team for my birthday wagers

I have been impressed by the CQs so far - people have interpreted the topics so cleverly. I have struggled sometimes to come up with an idea, but I enjoy the challenge.

Some of the abstract ideas already mentioned - with lots of room for interpretation - are great. I can only add my favourite topics to the mix.

- Fictional Characters
- Literary Classics
- Comedy

Thanks folks, I am pleased you liked the idea of "Comedy" as a CQ theme. I forgot to add "Literary Comedy" to the list above as a source for the topic.

Here's a chance to have fun, and explore the comedic realm.......hopefully without covering well-worn topics already in "Television" and "Movies" Sploof-categories.

BTW, I LOVE Marilyn's suggestion of the "Unsolved Mysteries", and hope we can do that'un the following month!

Unsolved mysteries sounds great. I also enjoy mysteries of the universe. Are we all alone out here in space? HMMMMM, if I were an alien from another planet, given what we know about each one, what would I be like?

Another future topic could be: "Fashions, Fads and Phases"

...Think of all the outrageous stuff you have worn, silly things you have collected, and goofy things you have put on/in your car or home.

What about shoes, clothing and hairstyles of past eras? I'll bet you look back and squirm in embarrassment over some of THOSE!

You only have to mention Tamagotchis, Rubik's cubes, nodding dogs in the car, yo-yos and hula hoops to be reminded of a plethora of gimmicks and gadgetry that we HAD to have!

Whatcha think?

It's spring training, so why not America's past time: Baseball? It's been featured in movies, music, novels, tv and even those goofy tabloid show. Seems like "The Natural" thing to do. Just please, NO NASCAR!
