I got the following message after guessing the first letter of the first puzzle:

"Sorry, you can not login to this WordPuzzle more than once.
It appears that you have already played this puzzle. Please check the puzzle schedule for the next puzzle date and time and come back then."

This has happened to me several times this week and has knocked me way down the board. Is there anything that can be done about this? I don't know if it has anything to do with having to sign into my account several times before I "stay", but I think it might because I also get the "aah you've already taken this quiz " message alot also.My specs are:
Firefox (latest version)
Cable Modem

A lot of people prefer Firefox, but it drives my comp crazy. Before i dumped it i had the same prob.I know this is prob no help but just thought i would mention it.I do know that it is a tracker and spreads its "roots" all through the files.

I've been kicked out twice so far with the same message. I have Firefox and have had it for quite sometime and this never happened before. There must be another glitch...

Dear All

Good news and bad for you.

About four months ago i posted to this site complaining of exactly this. When I hit the WP first letter I was bounced --subsequently got the ranking list of participants. Fortunately I had a lap-top so played WP there.

When i used dial-up as opposed to DSL on my computer the problem went away but a bizarre alternative problerm came along. This laster 3 months. As a normal member i was only playing once a week but when i went gold i was irritated by the prospect of having to switch machines....

HOWEVER since sploofus moved the computers, my problem has gone. So the next time he changes computers you'll be back to normal

It does seem to be computer-specific; ie the fault at your end. Still my experience indicates the position is more complex....

Greyghost- you are so right- I signed into my account at work today (ssshhh) which has IE and I only had to sign in once and had no problems whatsoever. It is Firefox that is the culprit!!!!

Well, it may be that it is Firefox, but if it is, it is only your copy of it - I use Firefox and I don't have any problems at all.

Maybe you could try uninstalling Firefox on your machine and reinstalling it, or just playing on IE (which is usually on a machine anyway, even if you're not using it) and seeing if either of those helps?

At the moment i am "cleaning" up 2 comps to get rid of Firefox, still have 3 more to clean,it is nothing but tracking spyware. It is also a stat counter.Sometimes you have to config depending on the severity.

It happened again though this time I didn't even make it to the first question. Yes I used Firefox but I deleted and reinstalled it a couple of days ago. Explorer seems to work a little better but I still get the "you've already taken this quiz" messages on other puzzles. Maybe it is my computer or something but it is really unfortunate because it's like having half a membership- sometimes things work and sometimes they don't.

When you deleted it,did you do a file search ? I usually do as the crap goes all through the system and lurks in the backround. To each their own but i would not wish it on my worst enemy, lol.
