I love everything about this site and don't know what I would do without it.

OK, maybe we should post something that we love about Sploofus. I'll start.

I love Sploofus for making me have to think after dealing with 2 toddlers all day!

Don't let the negative comments get to you. In the immortal (?) words of Donny Osmond, "One bad apple don't spoil the whole bunch, girl."

:D

If anyone was logging my online time at Sploofus, they'd see that I obviously love it around here.

So, let me get this straight...You are registering your COMPLAINT that there are a lot of complaints?

Okay, got it.

I think this site is wonderful. One of the things I like is how people can voice opinions, ask questions and give ideas. I agree with you that a few people use this prviledge (yes, folks, it is a privledge) to do nothing but try to stir up trouble. If we could just keep the comments constructive and/or upbeat it would be perfect. I think if we really tried, we could even complain without being mean.

I only have one complaint-all the complaining! However, I really can't complain about that as it is my choice to read it, isn't it? Oh, darn. Never mind. No complaints.

In any buisness once you take most people's money, they will give you their crap for free! We seem to have a problem in this country of wanting to see someone make a profit. If we think that is case we usually result to how much grief we can bare upon them. Happens every day. So if you deal with the public be prepared to listen to whiners and those who want to enhance any deal to their advantage at a cost to the vender of goods and services.

It amazes me how a simple, light-hearted thread on here can lead to a heated discussion in the blink of an eye. I guess it could be down to perception, taking comments in a way they weren't intended or just that some love to have a good moan! I suppose whichever it is we must all agree on one thing, that is that SPLOOFUS is the greatest site on the web or what are we all doing here?

"I guess it could be down to perception"

Yes, a big part of the problem is that in "normal" verbal/aural communication, it is not what you say, it is the WAY you say it that conveys the real meaning. You can lose that sensitivity with the written word and it can be hard to know sometimes whether people are joking, serious, sarcastic etc. So people can take things the wrong way.

Even the use of emoticons like does not always help because not all users understand them or they use different ones. [For example, we use (^_^) instead of ].

I have read a number of posts which could be taken more than one way.

By the way, these are just general comments and not aimed at anyone in particular.

You can please so of the people most of the time and most of people some of the time - but you can't please all of the people all of the time - Why should sploofus be any different. It is a fun place to come - hopefully people will leave it that way. Keep up the good work sploofus - nobody is perfect - mistakes happen - that is why they are called mistakes.
