This is actually not hard to explain. Those average times are only for WRs in which the person finished in the top 3 -- not average time for all their WRs. It is well-known among regular WRers that here have been flukes, some of which due to computer error resulted in negative times being credited. I know I've had a few. During some periods, they happened with fair frequency.

Now if someone (like the majority of us) is not fast enough to have a decent chance to get into the top three on their own merit, but they once were beneficiaries of a fluke, and that fluke happened to be a negative-time one, you'll see the phenomenon displayed here. If you'll notice, both of the users have had only one top-3 finish.
